One thing is for sure, humor doesn't translate. I think from a Thai perspective it would be difficult for Thais to imagine making a comedy video that hinges on caricaturing some well-known foible of the US- for example, obesity or the embarrassingly low standardized test scores of American students- and not to expect Americans to be offended, although most would likely not be.
