Guns< Boredom And Killing Stuff For The Sake Of It

I was a bit bored today so I got out my shotguns and decided to kill something:
    single barrel

old Army and Navy double barrel side by side.

    My childhood 4.10

There isn't much game about at this time of year and I only managed to kill a crow it did ease my boredom for a bit though

They champion falsehood, support the butcher against the victim, the oppressor against the innocent child. May God mete them the punishment they deserve

I only went out shooting wildlife once. We had air rifles and my friend shot a rabbit. It didn't die and he hit it over the head with a truncheon. I cried. They never asked me along again.

I don't believe that you should kill any living creature unless you are going to eat it...nb: spiders taste horrible.

If the thread title had been "Guns< Boredom And Killing Stuff For The Sake" then you would have had me (and no doubt the majority of the Yakuza) on your side.

Speaking of Japanese - Someone was talking about their favourite word on the radio the other day. Apparently there is a Japanese word which has the meaning of:

"Trying out a new sword on an unsuspecting passer-by"

    I hope it's true.

Can you please forward the crow to Nan? The pot is waiting...
My cousins were rthe kinda folks that would go out late nights catch and torture cats and othe small animals, they took me out "shootin" once. They laughed and shot all kinds of birds, chipmunks and tehn they started on the cows.

Always suspected that one of my cousins was that zodiac dude when he started in...

When I lived in Oz I use to kill a lot of things kangaroos, emu, and goats cats. My mates would come down from the city with there arsenals of wepons and we would head out and massacre what ever we found.
Nothing like driving along next to a roo and blowing it head clean off
We would only keep one or two roo,s for dog meat and a few steaks for our selfs and leave the rest to rot.

Up on friends farms Minnesota and Iowa we would often go stray house-cat hunting. They are the only other creature out there that kills for fun.

Often when you hit a cat with a .22 it would leap 6 feet in the air and let out a blood curdling screech. I was quite entertaining.

I am surprised you haven't become a serial killer yet.

Funny you should say that I do get them urges now and then but have learnt to control them

But note all these animals are considered pests where I use to live

I sometimes dream of forest clearing where a group of Deer are sitting around in a semi-circle - Up front stands a Buck demonstrating how to load and aim an AK47.

^Speaking of ideas that Gary Larson stole from me.....My favourite ever Far Side cartoon was of lions running towards some gnu...All of the gnu were sprinting away, except one - "Yes, he was a herd animal, but he had had enough of running"
