with all the do-gooders on TD advocating sobriety, let me tell you a yarn...
near my house there's a little shophouse-type restaurant which my wife likes to frequent when I'm working...it's the place where all the ladies like to gather and gossip about who-knows-what...
I like to stop there a couple of times a week on my way home from work...have a couple of beers...a feed...and generally enjoy the banter of the locals...
as fortune would have it, today when I went to leave i noticed my back tyre - off-side rear - was half flat, so a quick uie and back to the tyre place where they showed me a two-inch nail right through the tyre...
cost 100 baht to fix it, but my lovely's take on it was that it served me right for zigzagging!..
she didn't actually say som nom na...but that's what she meant...
I explained to her that punctures are a normal hazard of driving a car every day, but she reminded me that I have had three punctures and they have all been in the left rear tyre = Km 's a bad driver...
time for another beer I think...
oh...and if I'd been a teetotaller I would have woken up tomorrow morning with a flat and would have had to change it myself...
thank god for beer...
