I was born in a dump,
mama died and my daddy got drunk....
Left me here to live or grow
in the middle of Tobacco Road.
I was born and raised down in Alabama
On a farm way back up in the woods
I was so ragged that folks used to call me Patches
I was born in the back seat
Of a Greyhound Bus
Rollin' down Highway 41.
^Allman Brothers, one of the best bands ever.
Lord, I was born a ramblin' man
Tryin' to make a livin' and doin' the best I can
And when it's time for leavin'
I hope you'll understand
That I was born a ramblin' man
My father was a gambler down in Georgia
He wound up on the wrong end of a gun
And I was born in the back seat of a Greyhound bus
Rollin' down highway forty-one
Ramblin' Man - Allman Brothers
^ I was trying to find Stormy Monday on the net (my CD is feked) and cannot. I remember asking a cover band on Samui to play it and they did Stairway to Heaven.
I haven't listened to them for decades.Originally Posted by chinthee

^Live at Fillmore East is their best ever album. I could easily die a peaceful man after listening to that album. Rolling Stone listed At Fillmore East as the 49th greatest album of all-time on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time [9].I put it in the top 10.
The Allman Brothers received the honor of being the last act to play the Fillmore East before it closed in June 1971. The final shows there achieved legendary status.
^ That's the one. Had the album when I was a baby..."Here's an old Elmore James song we're gonna play for ya, actually it's a T-Bone Walker song..." sniff Double CD. Dunno Whipping Post and Stormy Monday are both busted. Gotta buy a new one.

Thanks,
Downing it now
And it is whizzing tonight at 150 kB/s

Duane Allman listed #2 of Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.
