Should I get married?

I will be 26 in a few weeks and this has got me thinking about marriage. I don't really want to get married but look! If I wait another 15 years I will have to pay some hoe to marry me or marry my illiterate cleaner like a lot of older farang seem to think it is a good idea to do. The years where I can get quality minge to marry me are fading fast... Shall I do it?

Marriage is OK but not as much fun as being single. If I had my choice over again I would of done a few more things before I got married like ride a motorcycle around the world. Anyway at 26 you still have few more years of partying to do I think

DON"T do it, not for money or lust( sometimes mistaken for love, but really just a posessive instinct), not for power or because you're bored and don't know what to do now.

It comes down to finding the right woman, which unfortunately is a bit of a hit and miss situation.
Age is not against you, at least if you live in Asia. My first wedding was when I lived in HK, 1996. A disaster. I would not wish this on anybody.
My second wedding, to a TG, was in Australia 2003, when I was 43. Now we live in Thailand and we are very happy together. I would wish this on anybody.
I certainly would not advise feeling insecure about being all of 26 and unmarried. Most Asian women prefer guys in their 30's or 40's anyway, at least for settling down. Finding the right one is the issue, and rushing into it certainly not the answer.

Fair enough ... It just sounds a bit like the old "age and obesity are a sign of status in Thai culture" canard... I have met several farang who assured me that there beer barrel, slap head and sixty years of living made them a real hit with the ladies due to these cultural factors but I aint buying it...

From reading your opening post you seem to have discounted marrying anyone who may be attracted to you for the financial support that you may be able to offer. This means that your prospective partner would have to be someone who wanted to commit themselves to you because of who you are. This person may be harder to find than you may think. Best find the right person first and then decide whether you want to marry them. If you are lucky enough to find this person you can look forward to many happy years together looking down on your illiterate cleaner.
