What do you crave from the west?

I crave attractive streets and buildings, and cool air to actually be able to spend time enjoying them

Bangkok Phil craves Tesco readymeals, as he left the UK when boil-in-the-bag and pot noodles were being introduced.

Thanks for starting this thread Pat. I must confess - I'm quite excited.
Looking forward to trying these out Pat. I'll let you know.
And John - I think the range of meals at Tescos in the UK is just incredible. I'd live on the buggers. They do a 3 for a fiver deal don't they? Who would cook at that price?

Doner kebabs actualy, greasy lamb kebabs with loads of chilli sauce, we used to eat them with newspapers on the floor so the grease didn't ruin the floor or carpet.

29 Baht chicken kebab type things at Kaosan DD, hacked off the rotary grill. Very good for the price. Probably not quite the same as those you used to use to quench your Saturday night post-drinking munchies in the UK tho

    Hot crusty bread.

    Fish and chips.

Oddly enough Smeg I don't really miss much. I can cook most things myself.

I got sent a small can of haggis which was really nice a few months ago.

I would really like a stottie now.

Clean streets so that when they are hauling the country from one spot to another in a dump truck and running 60 miles an hour thru town streets that the air is not so full of dust, and cleaner air thru out the country so you could at least see 300 meters at ground level instead of the heavily polluted air from cars, Trucks and open burning of garbage, Wood and grass/brush in every part of the country that I have visited.
And I do not live in a city but in a farming area and it is as bad as BKK or CM air pollution.

I'm off down there now to buy the lot so I can sell them back to Slimmers for a vastly inflated price.

Yes, I love the Carrefour bread - they do a big white crusty loaf, I just stick it in my oven for a couple of minutes.

^All the doctors I've seen here are pretty good.
Better than the pretentious arseholes you often see in the USA.

^I have to agree with you here.

They are almost all trained in the west anyway.
