Add one farang to the thai road death toll

Yep I just saw one killed by a Thai drunk driver, this cnut is here on his nice yearly holiday and happily driving down jomtien beach road on his little motorbike, when some drunk Thai cnut crossed the road and done him head on, its quite amazing how much blood can come out of a dead persons head, normally they dont leak so much when they are dead, I have the pictures and video which I will upload soon to put everyone off of bikes here in Thailand, and yes the police actually caught the driver, whether he will do time or not is a differant thing.

Anyway he was an english guy I believe as his mates turned up, in his 50s and very dead, due to the amount of blood he didn't die in the first few minutes but he was completely foked, ie no chance at all, the people kept pulling the blanket off of him so I could get good pictures of his dead body and all the blood runs, then all the papers turned up, foked if I wanna die like that....

Look on the bright side. He will never have a better vacation.

Any mobile food stalls turn up to feed the bystanders?

Sad news, all thai people should be banned of driving. Thy're al potential criminals.
I drive a bike and I hate it. I consider to by an ebgine like this one to be secure on the roads in this country.

How many lifes should be lost for nothing before some measures will be taken. Simply insane and obscene,

Wasn't it the farang getting in his way? If he hadn't been here on holidays and rented a bike, this wouldn't have happened. His family should pay for the damages to the bike, truck and compensation for the thai-driver's trauma, as well as for the police having to go out of their way and wasting time on another self-inflicted farang death.

    Sigh, farang will never learn...

Anyone else think all the jokes are a little over the top? someone gets killed and people gather round to get photo's, I think a human life has a little more value than that.

thats juat the thing mate, i'm assuming most of the jokes are made in frustration and anger at the thai laizzes faire appraoch to road safety and also to the apparent lack of value of a human life.....

i dont think even dog would put those pics up, however, every thai newspaper will they seem to have no sense of appropriate.....

Briton killed in Pattaya road accident

Pattaya - A Briton was killed early Saturday morning when his motorcycle was rammed into by a car allegedly driven by a Norwegian.

Police identified the Briton as Jimmy Hassim, 52 and the Norwegian as Hans Bjorger Mobraten, 58.

The accident happened at 20 minutes past midnight on Thappaya Road leading to Jomthien Beach.

Police said while Hassim was turning into the road to Jomthien Beach, his motorcycle was hit by the speeding car being driven by the Norwegian.

Police said the Norwegian would not stop but continued to head to Pattaya but he was stopped later at a road checkpoint.

Police said the Norwegian man appeared drunk.

They all said it was a Thai, but at the time how much view do you get into someones car window as they drive off with bike parts and body falling off their car, I assume it must be the norwegian guy and he is gonna have to pay some money.

So "fleeing the scene" is a farang activity also.
I wonder what charges he will face and what kind of punishment will arise

"fleeing the scene" I dont think is illegal, he will probably have to pay the family a couple of hundred thousand baht and the police a few thousand baht and that will be the end of it, if the dead guy was thai he would only pay 50k baht plus fines, and no he wont loose his driving license not that that would make any difference anyway.....

    Didn't assume.
    DD posted it.

Drink driving laws in Norway are extremely strict.
Prison sentence for every offender I think.

I heard there was a waiting list for people to do their time.

Probably hadn't had a lot of practise.

Why would the Brit's family be happy with 3,000 quid?

I would think it more likely they would chase this bloke in Norway and get him jailed there. Of course, Norway is not part of the EU so it could be expensive.
