Murray beat Mathieu 2-6,7-5,6-3. Me now faces Roddick in the quarter final. In their previous meetings I think that Murray is 3 - 2 up against Roddick. It will be a tight game, could go either way.

I watched the Murray match last night and he was hopeless for the first 2 sets.
Saved a couple of match points and Paul Henri lost his head which he does a lot.

Even stranger, The great Roger Federer has been dumped on his bum again for the second time in 2 tournaments by Guillermo Canas who obviously knows how to play against him.
I'm sure the men's locker room will be taking a close look at the videos of Canas against Federer.

Federer falls to Canas in Miami

Federer had lost to Canas at Indian Wells
Argentine Guillermo Canas stunned world number one Roger Federer for the second time in a fortnight to reach the quarter-finals of the Miami Masters.

Canas ended Federer's 41-match winning run earlier this month but the Swiss looked to be heading for revenge when he led 3-1 in the final set.

    But Canas lifted his game to force a tie-break, which he won 7-5 to seal a 7-6 (2-7) 2-6 7-6 (7-5) victory.

He will now play Tommy Robredo, while Andy Roddick also progressed.

Spaniard Robredo had a real battle with Czech 24th seed Radek Stepanek before coming through 7-6 (7-4) 5-7 7-6 (7-3).

Third seed Roddick beat David Ferrer of Spain 7-5 6-3 and will now play British number one Andy Murray for a place in the semi-finals.

the first 2 quarter finals are over and done with and it was a good day for the youngsters.
Andy Murray beat Roddick after Roddick cried off just after losing serve to go 5-3 down in the first set. In the other quarter, Novak Djokovic has just whipped the arse of Rafael Nadal who had beaten him in last week's final.

I take Djokovic to beat Murray in a repeat of last week's semi final.
I think he is marginally the better of the 2.

It'd be good if the young Brit could get his revenge.

Lets hope that Murray is fired up enough. I think that if he does get to the final it will take him into the top ten of the rankings.

    Djokovic thrashes Murray in Miami

Murray said he had no excuses for his heavy defeat

Britain's Andy Murray was humbled 6-1 6-0 by teenage rival Novak Djokovic in the Miami Masters semi-final.
The much-touted clash of the 19-year-olds never got going as the in-form Serb completely overwhelmed a sluggish-looking Murray.
The 10th seed, who also beat Murray in the Indian Wells semi-finals earlier this month, broke the Scot five times as he romped through the last 11 games.
It was a superb tactical display from Djokovic, who won in just 62 minutes.

Roger's Revenge ! Nadal streak snapped.

Roger Federer avenged two years of clay-court torment at the hands of Rafael Nadal Sunday, snapping the Spaniard's 81-match clay winning streak and denying him a sweep of the 2007 clay Masters Series in Hamburg. 2-6, 6-2, 6-0

Hehe Bravo Roger and go go go for Roland-Garros.

IMHO such a talented player can win any tournament. But every match has to be played. Let's see.

i have neglected it for far too long.
mainly because i got rid of UBC so didn't see any of the French and have only caught the odd glimpse of Wimbledon.

    anything good happening?

Now the Wimbledon tournament is turning to be a joke. Nadal vs Söderling interrupted 6 times already by the rain, and I can imagine how freezing cold it should be there for the spectators. Without speaking about the threat of muslim bombs. To be honest, would you buy a ticket for this event ? Even watch the event on television is boring.

Maybe it's time to relocate Wimbledon in Spain where the weather is less versatile.
