Canada have rocked the genteel world of LAWN BOWLS by accusing New Zealand
of match fixing by deliberately losing a match to THAILAND at last months' Asia- Pacific championships in order to be in a easier group in the next round.
WHAT EVER NEXT ??????
We have cheating in most sports, Formula 1, Rugby [bloodgate], Snooker,Cricket,and Horseracing [Betting] Football [diving etc.,] Tennis, Cycling [Drugs]
and now bl--dy Lawn Bowling, but will pocket Billiards be next??????:ourrules:
I understand Nelson Piquet was involved - F1 tyre tracks across the bowling green (or is it rink, I really have no idea!!)
Not really cheating, just poor sportsmanship. Losing or drawing to get into an easier group has always been popular at the football world cup.

Never played lawn bowls..would like to though, just so I could upset grandad with his tea and biscuits with a 100 mph smasher into the pack.
You do see alot of what the frogs call "boule" over here though, and I must say its looks rather fun.
