Thread: N H L Nordiques

What ever happened to the Quebec Nordiques? Was the team sold and moved or did they just fold up the tent and call it quits?

I googled " quebec professional sports" and "Quebec: Professional Services" came up. They seem to pursue a hole differnet sport.

The Nordiques, playing in an inadequate arena, needed government funds to keep operating so they were sold and moved to Colorado where they became the Avalanche. I always thought they were a bunch of whiners along with most of their fans. Their best days were with the Stastny brothers and the memorable rivalry with the Montreal Canadiens.
