Have you ever been ashamed of your country's sportsmen?

Gross fits of bad sportsmanship have occasionally marred what would have otherwise been considered to be wonderful sporting spectacles...

    Like Maradona's 'hand of god'...or

the Chappel brothers 'underarm bowling'...now we have

Schumi's 'foot slipped' disgrace to add to the list...

that covers the Argie Bargies, the Ockers and the Krauts...

any others to add to the list?

Sadly Barry Bonds crackin 715 homers to pass Ruth, yet its damn near sure its gonna turn out he was on steriods all the great years. Thus the record is totally flawed.

In American sports it seems to be the basketball players who shame themselves most often.

Matthew Hayden going on to score 380 to claim, at the time, the world record test score...against Zimbabwe in Perth.

A very hollow record pleasingly beaten shortly after by Brian Lara.

Pity hungry Matthew hadn't followed Mark Taylor's example.

While not strictly speaking my nationality, the British lions performances in New Zealand last year were pitiful.

    Totally agree with this.

Ever since the Chappell brothers took over and Kerry Packer's money, Australian cricket has been very egocentric.
Used to be a sport an Aussie could be proud of, now the cnuts just take the piss.

I guess the Yarpies arn't too happy with the memory of Hansie Cronje. (sp)

and the Poms couldn't look back at Geoffrey Boycott's contribution to his sport with pride.

Lynford Christie was found to be a drug cheat.

Nope. I imagine they cut it so it would more readily open up a cut on the opponents face!

Yes it was to gain extra time, it was done just after Henry Cooper knocked Ali down giving him more time to recover.
