Saudi Gazzete reports that Naif Hazazi scored in the second half for Saudi Arabia to beat 10-man Thailand 1-0. Hazazi broke the deadlock in the 64th minute after a goalless first half to seal a frustrating win.

Fielding some new players in the ground, Saudi Coach Nasser Al-Johar was hoping to seal the match early but Thai gave the good fight as the first half went away goalless. Al-Johar started the match without his strikers Yasser Al-Qahtani and Malek Al-Hawsawi, bringing in Faisal Al-Sultan and Al-Ahli’s forward Hassan Al-Raheb instead.

Thailand produced some real chances though failed to convert them. Saudi substitute Hazazi netted the only goal for Saudi Arabia 19 minutes into the second half when he headed a cross into the right side of Thai net.
