Who has he got in the final? Do we know yet?
^
Nadal I expect.
He's just started his semi against Gilles Simon.
Murray has really been on fire this week.
that was a top game.
100% of his first service points were won in the second set.
Good effort. It'd be much better him sticking it to Nadal than that farmer chappy.

Murray will play Simon in the final tonight after the French dude's surprising victory over Nadal.
3rd set tie break.
sure murray is happy bout that.
You know he'll fuck it up, don't you?Originally Posted by ChiangMai noon

it was a terrific match, loads of winners and some rallies went on for at least 530 shots.
great display by Murray, that's his second masters series win on the bounce with a US Open Final in between.
pushing hard on the heels of a top 3 ranking spot now.
^As to Murray getting up to number 3, will be a while yet as Djorkavic is about 1,500 ranking points above him, and there are only a couple of tournaments left this season, however come the Aussie open in January Djorkavic has 1,000 ranking points to defend as he won it where as Murray got knocked out in the first round which i think he only got a token 5 points for. Masters tournaments the winner gets 500 ranking points and other tournaments 250 points (i think) but it is a 12 month rolling system.
You can check out Murrays ranking history here and comapre him to other players if it floats your boat, quite interesting actually..........

Murray waltzed through the St Petesburg Open without losing a set to defend his title and win his second tournament in 2 goes.
Paris Masters up next.
Unstoppable Murray retains title
Andy Murray
Murray has won more titles in a single year than any other Briton
Andy Murray thrashed Kazakhstan's Andrey Golubev to retain his St Petersburg Open title and continue his stunning run of form.
The Briton swept to a 6-1 6-1 victory - his 23rd win in 25 matches - to secure his fifth tournament win of 2008.
Murray broke serve in the fourth and sixth games as he raced through the opening set.
I like how they refer to anyone from outside of England when they win something as a "Briton" hes fucking Scottish for gods sakes. Well done to him all the same, really showing his potential.
Actually, he's British, and those from 'England' should be labelled thus also. But, I agree with the gist of what you're saying.Originally Posted by melvbot
