He's just started his semi against Gilles Simon.

Murray has really been on fire this week.

that was a top game.

100% of his first service points were won in the second set.

Murray failed to blow it and beat Simon 6-3, 7-6 (8-6).

it was a terrific match, loads of winners and some rallies went on for at least 530 shots.

great display by Murray, that's his second masters series win on the bounce with a US Open Final in between.

pushing hard on the heels of a top 3 ranking spot now.

^As to Murray getting up to number 3, will be a while yet as Djorkavic is about 1,500 ranking points above him, and there are only a couple of tournaments left this season, however come the Aussie open in January Djorkavic has 1,000 ranking points to defend as he won it where as Murray got knocked out in the first round which i think he only got a token 5 points for. Masters tournaments the winner gets 500 ranking points and other tournaments 250 points (i think) but it is a 12 month rolling system.

Actually, he's British, and those from 'England' should be labelled thus also. But, I agree with the gist of what you're saying.
