Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe are going to give Thai fans a chance to walk down memory lane when they take on one another in the "PTT Legends in Bangkok" on November 22.

The historic exhibition match is the last leg of an Asian tour which includes Malaysia and Macau.

The event will also mark the official opening of the headquarters of the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand (LTAT) which celebrates its 81st anniversary this year.

The match will be in best of three format (super tie-break in third set). Local stars Paradorn Srichaphan and Danai Udomchoke will then join the two stars in a doubles encounter.

Sweden's Borg, 49, and American McEnroe, 52, were among the best ever players and shared 18 Grand Slam titles with McEnroe winning 11.

They also starred in the memorable Wimbledon final in 1980 when Borg won in five gruelling sets. Tickets at 1,000 and 2,000 baht will be on sale at Thai Ticket Major booths.

BTW, where are is the venue. Doesn't mention other than to say the final leg of the asian tour.

I remember watching that. McEnroe was a very fine player who liked to challange every desicion the officials made. Now he has grown older and does a bit of commentating for the BBC. It would be nice to see him in action again, but it won't be the same without his catchphrase 'chalk dust'. :)

This sounds great! Borg was my hero when I was a kid.

52 & 49? Bloody hell, they look at least 10 years older than that in that photo. Give each of them a massive beer gut and they'd fit right in in Pattaya. :)
