Loei and Udon Golf
Just back from 4 dys Golf in Udon and Loei.
Loei - forget it, unless you ar a single figure handicap. For example the 2nd, Par 3, 165 yds. Your tee shot is down a funnel of trees about 15 yds wide, one large tree at 140yds, directly infront of a large bunker protecting the green. Impossible, no bail-out area, just whack it high and pray hard. Same for many of the other holes. Cost - 200, 160 Caddies, 500 Cart.
Udon - played the Forest - cheap - 720 inc caddies for 2. Great course, and as it was a Tuesday we had it all to ourselves. Clubhouse food was good and also reaasonable - beer Singha lg 60 baht.
Also played the Nong Samron Course, cheaper - 440 for 2 inc Caddies. Some great par 3's here, and lots of water in play if you're not careful. Clubhouse - basic but friendly and again - very few players on a Wednesday morning.
