Watch any live sport on the net...

...when UBC is too shit to have it on.

I nicked this from another forum - copy and pasted it a few months ago, and never needed it til last weekend. Worked like a charm... was able to watch the Man U game on Eurosport 2... you can't have internet explorer open at the same time though.

Here's the copy and paste I have.

For all you who settled down in a chair to watch the Community Shield last night, and it wasn't on, then I will be telling you how to watch this shenannigans from now on!!!

Took me a while to find, and I missed about 20 minutes of the game, but it was worth it, oh yes it was worth it, and ye shall all be thanking me soon!!!!!

First, download a program called SopCast.
You can find this on download.com.
    Install it.
You will need to close all Firefoxes and Internet Explorers when you do this.

    * Then go to a web site called MyP2P.eu :: Free Live Sports on your PC, Live Football, MLB, NBA, NHL and more...

Click the live sport link at the top of the page, this will give you a list of streaming live sports events.

Click the link on the right of whichever game you are wanting to watch.

This will take you to another page with a list of streams.
Choose the SopCast link, which should say Play.
    SopCast will pop up.
Leave it to log in automatically.
The game you chose will pop up in a media player to the right of the main SopCast program.
Leave it to buffer for a while, then, double click for full screen, streaming, live, free sports events!!!!

Takes about 5 minutes to set up and get used to.

    * I only had to go this far and the game I wanted was on eurosport 2. About 200 channels you can watch live on it.

    i thought i recognised it.

too much buffering when i tried before.

not a bad stream at the moment.

really nice feature I just found.

if you click on a little arrow on the bottom right of the tv stream you have an option to open the stream in your media player.... you then get a full screen display.

just wish my connection was quicker and more reliably quicker as the buffering does my head in and renders it unwatchable.

Are any of the clients you have to download better than the others? Which one do you recommend?

    haven't done that.

just watching the selections on the left in the main news menu so far that don't require any software.

hope the sopcast software works with linux.

The TVants player is very easy to use.

Best to shut down your torrents if buffering is a problem.

Often you don't get much of a choice of the clients so downloading them is key. Not a problem as they are pretty small and don't take much space.

I find that using TV Ants or Sopcast you get a better pix fullscreen than you do with media player. To each his own I suspect.

Watched MNF and Redsox vs Angels at the same time on dual screen. Same for multiple football (either UK or US) broadcasts.

I have been usin justin.tv but the people in the chat room do my head in!! any way of getting rid of them?

not always a problem as I usually watch two games at the same time so one match overlaps the other game's chat room

Agree totally RD, the fukkin muppets in there during the Ryder Cup was out of order.

MyP2P has a better class of customer, with people who are really interested in viewing quality.

Small problem with Sopcast is that it disallows streaming of Baseball for example. There may be others or similar restrictions in other players.

Ive tried this link plenty of times before, aswell of all the others, its very rare that you will get the english premiership on watchable screen, normally you search round for the 1st 15mins trying to get a good picture, then the picture is very average and tends to get worse as the match goes on and more people join the stream. You shoudnt complain about something that is free but if a friend said he
had a council flat over looking the ground would you go round there ?

The experience is 9/10 frustrating and not worth the bother!
