Murder in Zagreb Croatia vs England

    5 minutes to go: Croatia 1 - England 4

Theo Walcott, barley old enough to be out this late has scored a hat-trick as a superb England team rampage through Zagreb.
Croatia have NEVER lost a competetive international game on home soil but have been destroyed this evening by a performance worthy of comparison of the day we wiped the floor with the gormans 5-1 in their own back yard.
Damn, even Emile Heskey looked worthy of his England shirt, and that says it all really

Final score, 4-1 to England with Ronney the other goalscorer. Joe cole nearly had his head taken off and his theatrical collapse in the 52nd minute is worthy of oscar consideration.

I set my alarm for but because the wifes away I kipped with the nipper in bed instead of the sofa as I do for the footy, alarm went off, woke up, straight back to sleep. I wasnt expecting a result like this when I woke up. Maybe having that respect and expectation taken away from the team did something for them.

Im sure the red tops will now blow everything out of proportion and claim "we're back". Credit where its due, well done England.

Damn! I listened to the first half of the Wales game, but went to bed at 11.

It's good to see young Walcott being given the opportunity to shine and a nice pice of revenge for the Euro failure.

That's a very fine result for England.

    Very surprised by that one.

Well their gotta win something sometimes . Saved that new coaches arse I reckon. Did pretty boy Beckham play?

Aussies had a good win as well against ????????????? Uzbekistan I think.

Worst track I have ever seen, slow and bumpy but the boys played and defended well.

Ive never had any real doubts about Capello. I think they respect him a lot more than previous managers, I like how he gave Rooney and Cole a bollocking for not listening to him last game. Other managers have pandered to the players too much, I hope he waves the big stick and kicks them into shape now.

Has anyone got a torrent for this? I can't log in to the Box at the moment to have a look there. If it is there, maybe Noony can email me the torrent file...?

It's being repeated ad nauseum on True Sport 1.

    In fact, it's on now.

It's called a 'pitch' Old Bean. Not a track or a field.

Whatever, and if you want to split hairs Heard somewhere that they do term some playing field as tracks in other forms of sports like athletics though. Also that scouser bloke "Maca" on UBC "football focus" refers to the pitch as a track sometimes. Anyway ....... ???????????

Couldn't believe all the old timers still running around for the aussie side. Kewell, Emerton and that other nasty bloke who is the West Ham captain. Got Viduka and a couple of the other "past it" geriatrics to come back as well.

Not one player who actually plays in the domestic aussie competition was selected for the side.

Not looking good for the future of Australian "wog ball" I reckon!

How is what I am posting rascist?

If you think that my reference of football, soccer or whatever else you want to call it as "wog ball" is rascist then so be it.

We grew up calling soccer "wog ball" in Australia and if that offends you then that is regretable!

Sheesh, some people are touchy around here!
