Should Muay Thai Boxing be an Olympic sport?

    I think so.

Not only is it global it has a higher participation rate than judo (I don't actually know that to be true btw, just a guess)

And surely if shooting clay targets is a sport then so should be darts.
Given the next Olympics are in London it should be included along with not bathing regularly, getting sunburnt whilst on holidays and singing songs about football clubs who barely have an Englishman in it.

Fuk NO. They already have plenty of girl sports to more than fill the bill and keep the snatch from crying discrimination.

No it shouldn't as traditionally it is not Thai.

The Cambodians, who have more claim to the sport than the Thais do have boycotted events before and would probably do so again.

So on the basis of already strained relations between the two countries - no.

So that is a reason not to include it in the olympics, some damn SE Asian face obsessed sensibilities are gonna get feathers ruffled?

There are already too many variations of wrestling and kick boxing out there. Therefore, the only pure Muay thai boxing would be in SE Asia, in my opinion. Too regionalized.

Tae Kwan Do is being shelved from the olympics. It'll be a regional sport again, most likely.

    Is that true?
I compete in tkdo & have heard nothing about it being flicked from the Olympics.
Not that I'm in and danger of it actually impacting on my own sorry sporting career!
