well it was a 1 horse race imo. a natural leader on the field, playing in the right position to be a captain... and nearly a euro cup winner. perhaps now dear fabio can focus his attention on the strikers, which are woeful to say the least.

Robinson got sent packing from my team, no real confidence in him.
Scott Carson never really rated him as England material yet.
Joe Hart, nope.

So in a nutshell no, James is about the best we've got at the minute. Thing is goalkeepers dont come round as quick as any other position so we're stuck with about 5 to choose from for the next 5 years.
