We were fucking awful against Cardiff the other night who thoroughly deserved the win. Although I would happily stab Bothroyd in the eye.

Not had a bad word to say about Coleman so far but his decision to play the on loan Chelsea youngster in centre midfield on his debut was a massive mistake.

Too be fair we have been shit over the past 5/6 games but have scraped results.

Torquay was a prime example where they deserved to beat us by at least 2 or 3. Fucking good day out though.

Oh well anything is better than just scraping safety last year.

    I'm drunk. Going to bed.

Another fine 2-0 win for Cardiff City over Notts Forest, another Bothroyd goal and yet another Coventry defeat.

Love the new signing of Quincy for the rest of the season.
    Quincy is serious quality.

Cardiff are making me a very happy man lately, every Saturday I used to be nervous no matter who we were playing, lately it is a matter of wondering how many goals we are gonna put past the opposing team.

The thing that is impressing me the most is that we are winning games without conceding, I feel Spain won the Euro Championships last year because of their defence.

Dave Jones will go down in Cardiff City history as one of our finest ever managers, he has come to a club who were financially fucked, he has brought in players on the cheap and helped them find their feet in the game, he has brought in loan signings to cover a very small but talented squad. Not only has he done this but he has sold some of our players for big fees and help rebuild the club financilly and to be honest we haven't missed the players we sold which made more than 10 million pound for the club.

We have another massive game on Tuesday night against Arsenal at the Emirates and obviously Arsenal will be clear favourites and rightly so. It would be a major cup shock if Cardiff pull off a win, it is another bumper pay day thanks to Dave Jones.

The Loan siging of Quincy goes to show the club are moving forward, Learned his game at Ajax, Signed by Arsenal and bought by Spartak Moscow, went to Birmingham on Loan this season and will admit he nearly tore Cardiff to pieces when we played them.

CARDIFF CITY!! I FUCKING LOVES 'EM!!!

yup, Gyepes looks like a great replacement for Loovens and at a fraction of the cost and when everybody was dissapointed that we missed out on Bent and Eastwood, he gets Mcormack and Bothroyd, again for a fraction.

couldn't find a feed for last night's game, the normal one wasn't working and radio cymru was covering the Jacks.

Last day of the January transfer window and Cardiff City chairman has stated no player will leave Cardiff City no matter how much money is offered.
He has also said Cardiff are looking at bringing in two or three more players with Michael Chopra and Ched Evans being strongly linked. I would be happy with either!!

automatic promotions are no longer a 2 horse race.

Wolves stuttered again last night, drawing 3-3 at home to Norwich.
i'm hopeful their wheels are falling off.

Cardiff's 2 games in hand are Derby home and Watford home........6 points.

we are right up there in the thick of it.

bad news...Gyepes out for 3 weeks.

should we rename this the Cardiff City thread?

the injury to Geypes is a tough one to swallow, let's hope that Purse can come back in and prove his worth.

    Charlton against Cardiff off tomorrow.

    FA cup next week.
by the time we play our next league game against wolves we'll have 5 games in hand over Preston.

Gyepes will probably be back too.

Oh For fuck sake, pretty sure an international break coming up soon also as England play Spain away within the next few weeks and due to the amount of Welsh internationals we have means our game will be called off too.

A fixture backlog is the last thing we need but.......................................

PROMOTION TO BECOME A REALITY FOR CARDIFF CITY THIS YEAR!!!

^ Don't remember writing that at all, mind you I was steaming last night until ridiculous o'clock.

But amazingly enough my fears have been confirmed as Wales will play Poland in a friendly on Wednesday.

I would love for Cardiff and Arsenal to pull all their players out of their respective international teams and play this bloody FA Cup replay game which due to the latest weather is causing hell of a backlog that neither teams want.

Thanks - gave everyone a hand there and very proud of the win considering the late and contraversial pen decision and resulting miss.

Glad to see the jacks won 3-0 only 2 points away from playoff spots

swansea will make the play offs comfortably the way they are going.

cardiff's away game at wolves week after next is huge i reckon.

win that one and i'll start thinking the play offs would be a disappointment.

    Cardiff snap up Konstantopoulos

Konstantopoulos impressed while on loan at Cardiff's rivals Swansea

Greek keeper Dimi Konstantopoulos has joined Cardiff on a season-long loan, covering injury-victim Peter Enckelman.
The Coventry City player will join the Bluebirds squad on Tuesday and will compete with Tom Heaton for a starting spot for the rest of the season.
Enckelman underwent knee surgery on the weekend and is expected to be out for six-to-eight weeks.
Cardiff's local rivals Swansea had hoped to secure Konstantopoulos, 30, after he impressed there on loan.
But the Football League refused to extend his stay until the end of the season when a weather delay meant the paperwork for the deal was not signed before Monday's transfer deadline. The chairmen of Swansea and Coventry wrote to the Football League to ask for the special dispensation due to the adverse weather conditions, as was granted by the Premier League. But they were turned down and - because Konstantopoulos was signed on an emergency loan deal - he could not extend his 93-day stay.

    I don't know why, he's shit.

Not a bad shot stopper but doesn't command his box and his distribution is poor.

But then again we do have the best goalkepper outside of the Premiership in Westwood. Although he'll go to a premiership side at the end of the season with both Newcastle and Everton interested.

Ledley named player of the month

Ledley has been at Cardiff City since the age of nine

Cardiff City captain Joe Ledley has been named as the Championship's player of the month for January.
The award came as Ledley prepared for Wales' clash with Poland on Wednesday.
A Football League statement on the attacking midfielder read: "Ledley's performances were at the heart of a fantastic month for Cardiff City."
Jason Scotland (Swansea City), DJ Campbell (Blackpool, on loan from Leicester) and Brian Stock (Doncaster) were also shortlisted for the award.
Ledley's accolade came a year after receiving the same award in January 2008.
The statement went on: "The midfielder began January by getting on the scoresheet in his side's draw at title-chasers Birmingham City.
"He followed this with impressive displays in the Bluebirds' back-to-back wins over Coventry City and Nottingham Forest, to help his side cement their play-off place."
Chris Kamara, chairman of the player of the month awards panel, said: "Joe Ledley played out of his skin in January and it is little wonder that he was attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs during the transfer window. "It is great news for Dave Jones' side that they were able to resist all offers for Joe as he is going to be instrumental in Cardiff's attempts to win promotion this season." Matt Oakley of Leicester City won the award in League One and Dany N'Guessan of Lincoln City landed the League Two accolade.

We were class yesterday and could have been 3 - 0 up in the first 20 mins although we were holding on in the end.

Looks like McKenzie is going to be out for a while though which puts a dampner on things.

Oh and good old Konstanoplous (sp) is up to his usual high standard for Cardiff!!

starting to get a bit nervous now, drew 0-0 with QPR and now lost to lowly Southampton.
Need to start converting these games in hands into points especially as the other top teams keep fucking up also.
