It was an enthralling series for the most part, especially so because of the paucity of the batsmen's contribution until the last test from both sides.

Got to say I have no idea why England are in SL as practice for the WC during the monsoon. Its weird, I know that with the WC being played in the UK in the advent of summer there is really no easy way to replicate conditions anywhere else, but Sri Lanka, get the spin but its rainy season so damp pitches..... Seen that a lot of world class and therefore shoe in country level stars have booked slots with UK county sides during the summer to get exposure but it feels like England drew a short straw with SL on this series, they are a shadow of the side that had Dilshan, Sanka and even Mathews is crook. Just don't get it.

^ Three full on test matches in Sri Lanka next month too. Got to be better than watching kiss ball.

No they need a range of grit, like some 80, 120 or even 180.

They cannot blame the pitch as Pakistan simply out batted and out bowled them.

And I don't know how many more chances the Marsh brothers should get.
