The Beeb weather man this morning whilst being asked to comment on the weather re the Cricket World cup said two of the matches being rained off were unlucky - if yesterday's match had been played in Bristol it would have gone ahead.

Of course they should really have scheduled reserve days - fukin ridiculous for such a high profile event - don't know why they didn't move it to the right, further in to the UKs monsoon season.

After the start they got, and being c230 for 3 ish they didn't bat out 50 overs and finished with only 307 - that is v poor, can see the P100s getting turned over here

I'm in Edinburgh all next week. I've been rooting through me wardrobes looking for winter clothing.

No, I'm on a conference for a week at the EICC.

Got a nice AirBnB, whole apartment right opposite.

TBH I won't have much time to do owt other than get pissed at night and perhaps visit the Pubic Triangle.

But one bonus is being able to do a bit of shopping. Left plenty of space in the luggage and taking a sports bag for the overflow.

I did do Western Scotland in my youth, yes it is exceptional isn't it.

I was looking to see if there is any entertainment in town, and would you believe Kris Kristofferson is on at the Usher Hall.

By my reckoning he is 83 years old, so he must be doing songs between oxygen therapy.

I see our next game is Tuesday against Afghanistan, so Roy and Morgan can have a bit of a rest.

Right, time for forty winks before the flight.
