Well i hear he's secretly an Aston fan and is over the moon that Steve Bruce has taken over. Corse, Brom won't get promoted and next season Villa will.... its a strange world the Midlands - "It'll Do World", a themed park of badly made half arse products sold by people no one can understand....

You've just shown they've lost 3 out of their last 5 and are tipping them to win?

They have Middlesboro away next, whilst Norwich have the East Anglian derby at home to the Tractor Boys and everyones whipping boys

Loving Norwich's retro kit with a nod to the 90s.

As one of the posters above said, it's really tight this year; you could argue that the 18th placed team (Preston) still have a shout of making the play offs!

    I'm talking Norwich vs Ipswich.
Be careful what you wish for has never been more true than when they made Mick McCarthy walk.

Well, Cyrille's big derby day. Aston V WBA: - this isn't going to be a 0-0 bore-draw, could be some angry posting later/tomorrow

Aston Villa are without Wales defender James Chester for a fourth game running as they host neighbours West Brom.

Chester has had an injection on a "wear and tear" knee injury, but misses the meeting with his old club, although left-back Neil Taylor returns.

Darren Moore's Albion, minus suspended top scorer Dwight Gayle, wait on the fitness of four players.

Matt Phillips, Hal Robson-Kanu, James Morrison and Ahmed Hegazi all have a chance of returning after injury.

    Derby day form guide

With 14 games left to go this season, Villa are seven points off the top six - most of whom have a game in hand - and 10 points adrift of fourth-placed Albion.

The Baggies twice trailed when they shared a 2-2 draw with Villa at The Hawthorns, only to rescue a point with a controversial injury-time Jay Rodriguez equaliser.

Albion did the same in another 2-2 home draw in midweek, when Rodriguez again levelled late on from the penalty spot against Nottingham Forest.

But, although they gained a point, it was at the expense of losing Gayle, to a two-game ban for diving.

Starting with that 2-2 draw at The Hawthorns, when Villa would have been into the top six but for Albion's late leveller, Dean Smith's side have won just twice in 12 league games.

They go into the derby on the back of Wednesday's injury-time defeat at Smith's old club Brentford.

Aston Villa head coach Dean Smith told BBC WM:

"A lot of it is in our own hands as we've got a lot of the teams above us at home.

"It's a very tight league, as I've said all along, and we don't lose many, but we've got to start turning our form round in terms of winning.

"Most of all, we've got to start winning our home games. as that is what we haven't been doing."

West Bromwich Albion head coach Darren Moore told BBC WM:

"When you look at some of the times we've played this season, it's great to be back playing at three o'clock on a Saturday afternoon, especially for a match of this magnitude.

"It will be wonderful for both sets of fans. And I'd imagine it will be another pulsating battle in a great atmosphere.

"We have just got to focus on what we have at the Albion and apply ourselves, manage the game and manage the atmosphere."

Lambert imploding on the touchline was a nice bonus for you.

Seems Norwich and Leeds are quite difficult to dislodge from those auto spots, even though neither of them are exactly killing it.
