He put a link there that I just tried on my Tablet and the game is available in there under Rugby. Would post the link but I can't cut/paste it on my tablet for some reason.

Anyone watching the game yesterday must agree that Queensland looked by far the most enterprising attacking side.

They stretched the blues out wide almost every time they had the ball and Slater's contribution was significant.

No, that's what you do when you get caught out telling lies. Every time.

QLD had their chances but blew it, helped largely by Ben Hunt playing what must surely be his last ever rep game. Anyway it was an edge-of-the-seat game to watch that could have swung either way, and that's a whole lot better than watching soccer any day of the week.

    I managed to miss it.

Tried those links that were helpfully supplied by others - and cheers for that - but the IntraGoogles at home decided to be shit.

Gave up after about 15min of trying to watch stuttering and stopping what looked to be Minecraft characters on a blurry green thing.

My Sky Blue keen mate said basically the same.

Slater, to my surprise was outstanding.

But fair cop to NSW , their series win has reignited the S of O flame.

    I really don't think so.

Queensland played as well as they possibly could in the first half and NSW countered their wide spread ball work in the second half.

And every game NSW will improve.

They may put the maroons to the sword in game 3.

Queensland captain Greg Inglis ruled out with broken thumb

State of Origin 2018 ... this year it will be different !-9929400-3x2-700x467-jpg

Queensland's attempts to salvage some pride in the final 2018 State of Origin game have taken a further hit, with captain Greg Inglis ruled out with a broken thumb.

The Queensland Rugby League announced it was delaying the naming of the Queensland team for the dead rubber at Lang Park on July 11 after Inglis injured his hand during South Sydney's last-gasp win over the North Queensland Cowboys in Cairns.

The captain's injury came after young gun Kalyn Ponga was ruled out with a hamstring injury picked up during Newcastle's defeat by Canterbury on Saturday evening, and prop Dylan Napa left the field with a knee injury during the Sydney Roosters loss to the Melbourne Storm on Friday.

The injury to Inglis opens the door for Queensland's departing fullback Billy Slater to captain the Maroons in his final representative match.

New South Wales skipper Boyd Cordner is also under an injury cloud for the final match after also missing the Roosters' loss to Melbourne, but he was expected to be fit to play the final Origin match.

The Blues claimed their first series victory since 2014 with a win in Sydney on June 24, and have the chance to become the first NSW team to claim a 3-0 sweep in 18 years with a victory in Brisbane.

State of Origin: Billy Slater to lead Maroons in his final interstate game, Daly Cherry-Evans recalled

State of Origin 2018 ... this year it will be different !-9930786-3x2-940x627-jpg

The Maroons have ended the three-year exile of Daly Cherry-Evans, naming the Manly skipper at half-back for State of Origin III.

Cherry-Evans will replace Ben Hunt, who moves to the interchange bench, in the dead rubber at Lang Park on July 11.
Queensland also confirmed mercurial full-back Billy Slater will become the Maroons' 14th captain in his final Origin match,
    replacing Greg Inglis (broken thumb).

Coach Kevin Walters was forced to delay Sunday night's scheduled naming of the squad until today after Inglis broke down
in South Sydney's NRL win over North Queensland.

The Maroons were already reeling from the loss of bench utility Kalyn Ponga (hamstring) while prop Dylan Napa (knee) was
named at 18th man but is not expected to play.

Dane Gagai has been switched to the centres for Inglis with Brisbane's Corey Oates recalled on the wing.
Gold Coast's Jai Arrow has moved from bench to starting prop for Napa while Josh Papalii graduated to the starting front row
with maligned Queensland prop Jarrod Wallace on the bench.

It is a nightmare start to life after retired Maroons greats Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Johnathan Thurston, as
Queensland try to send out Slater a winner in his 31st and final Origin.

Maroons squad: Billy Slater (c), Valentine Holmes, Dane Gagai, Will Chambers, Corey Oates, Cameron Munster,
Daly Cherry-Evans, Jai Arrow, Andrew McCullough, Josh Papalii, Gavin Cooper, Felise Kaufusi, Josh McGuire.

Interchange: Ben Hunt, Jarrod Wallace, Coen Hess, Tim Glasby. 18th man: Dylan Napa.

^Surprisingly, QLD aren't long odds in this (NSW 1.65 v QLD 2.26) and some of the reason for that would be Ben Fucking Hunt isn't in the starting line-up. He shouldn't even be in the team, he's a bust at this level and is from the same mold as Mitchel Pierce. I would have fucked Hunt off - forever - and given Ash Taylor a run. Would rather see Taylor have a go and maybe fail than see Hunt definitely fail for 3 games in a row.

Losing GI is a big blow too, QLD are seriously up against it here but I find it interesting that the Bookies aren't game to take them on. The spread is only 3.5...

    DEC is a bad decision.
They should have brought Ash Taylor in.
Better to blood him in a game that doesn't really matter than bring him in game 1 next year.

    GO THE BLUES....

I beg to differ on the change of the half back as Queensland had NSW'S on the ropes for most of the first half of the second game and should have won that game.

Evans is a trier, at best a first grade football player and never up to playing with the big boys.

Hunt should have been given another chance especially as his 5/8 Munster is not really a 5/8.

Walter's has fvcked up big style.

I read somewhere that Walters wanted to keep Hunt, but was out voted by the other selectors, Darren Lockyer and Gene Miles.

^They had a poll on NRL360 for viewers to vote if Hunt should be given the arse. It was a landslide, about 72% voted YES and I reckon the other 28% were cheeky NSW supporters hoping he'd get picked again, just as QLD supporters always hoped to see Pearce's name on the team list

Queensland is simply a different beast when playing at Suncorp Stadium.

The loss of Ponga and Inglis is unfortunate, but Oates, Cherry Evans and Glasby are solid replacements.

QLD by 4 and Slater man of the Match

I hope you're right David, but when the cavalry is called and DCE turns up to save the day things are looking a bit grim

Still though, it's a 2 horse race and QLD still has some good player in the mix so maybe they can drag something out of the wreckage. Wallet clamped shut, but fingers crossed.
