^Ironically (and seriously for once), think about why SOO had to be introduced in the first place. It wouldn't have been necessary if NSW could have beaten QLD without a team stacked with QLD players in the first place.

Well back in the early days... there was no Broncos, Cowboys, Storm, Warriors or Raiders... So just about everyone was a New South Welshman. Only a few Queenslanders remained Queenslanders by playing in a far inferior (and poorer, thanks mainly to poker machine laws at the time) competition.

If you could present one guy Origin was designed for ... Tis ME.

I used to sit on the wooden benches with my Dad and watch the NSW/QLD games where QLD would get flogged by the NSW side
peppered with QLD'ers. and TizMe is correct, the NSW Pokies money did have a lot to do with it.

The inaugural SofO series kicked off a year or two after I hung up my boots.

    I was hooked ...

This year will bring surprises and it is as an unknown as when Fatty coached the 1995 QLD team during the Super League Wars.

I'm excited this year because I have no idea how the QLD'ers will go.

Would be awesome to have the series tied at 1-1 with the decider @ Lang Park

Absolutely true, in fact it was called the NSWRL back then. But it was fully fucked up that QLD'ers playing in Sydney to make a dollar out of the sport (which was fair enough) would have to come back across the border wearing Blue to play against seriously understrength QLD teams. Without QLD players in NSW sides, we'll the record books tell the story on that...

Gotta say I'm bit more excited for this SOO than I have been in a while.

Not that it was boring but QLD's dominance got a little predictable. Anyways, not long now...

Looks like the Toads have injury problems but that dos not mean anything.

Those blokes play out of their skins when they put on the maroon kit.

By the way free pies on at the Boxing Roo on second Rd in Pattaya at half-time!

Try FromHot.com - FromHot - Sport Lemon - From Sport - Watch Live Sports Online - FromSport or http://www.drakulastream.eu/rugby-li...ing-video.html

I'm not actually sure they'll have it (though they should) or if it will work well (it's usually OK).

Other than that maybe check out the official NRL livestream subscription?

^^Sorry I can't help any more than to say it's live on Fox NRL, Ch9 Oz, and Sky Sports Arena. You should be able to find a link to the Sky ch online somewhere.

Bookies giving QLD an 8 point head start which seems a bit generous to me, so a wee flutter QLD +8 at 11/10.

Looks like that running passing game is paying off for the blues. 8-0 so early in the game.

Highlight for me was that hit/tackle by Ingles.

The NSW Hooker, Cook ... never noticed him before, but he set up NSW's try.

    Who does he play for?

The first half stats look bad for the maroons.
They really need to pick it up.
