Fucking great innit, I love those hackers that exposed their filth.

No doubt Platini or some other UEFA jobsworth trousered a nice little "consultancy fee" for getting the cheats out of trouble.

Paying the price for not scoring when we were battering them in the first half.

I've got no fucking idea at all what this competition is. What do we win if we hold on and finish top?

Got to say that England are turning themselves into the Leicester of the international scene, no really massive stars but work as a team and are developing a real belief, great to see vs the team full of lampards, beckhams et al who promised much but never really delivered; like Lulu in the sack

England, in 2018, have been in a World Cup semi final, beaten Spain in Seville and taken 4 points (should have been 6) off one of the World Cup finalists while finishing top of the group.

As NPT says above, they're a team in every sense of the word these days.

"The tournament will consist of two semi-finals, a third place play-off, and a final"

A 'tournament' with 4 teams and 4 matches.

    Times must be hard.

    * Actually closer to 2.5%. It is a tournament, after all, and not just qualifying.

    You're incorrigible, L.

England's progress to one of the top 4 sides in the world is as indisputable as Tony Cascarino and Jack Charlton being Irish.

    Oh...

Meanwhile, over in pikey land, humiliation abounds....

The Republic of Ireland have been relegated to League C of the Nations League.

Denmark's 2-1 victory in Cardiff ensured Martin O'Neill's men will finish bottom of Group 4 regardless of the result in Aarhus on Monday night, when Ireland will conclude their fixtures with a clash against the Danes.

Defeats home and away to Wales as well as a goalless draw against Denmark in Dublin have Ireland on one point. Wales - with no games left to play - have six, and Denmark are on seven. Age Hareide men have won the group.

Ireland will now be third seeds for Euro 2020 qualifying, meaning a harder group and tougher path to a tournament which will play four games in Dublin.
