    Round 19 Super Rugby

    (all kickoff times TST)

    Friday 13 July

    Chiefs v Hurricanes (1435)

    Reds v Sunwolves (1645)

    Saturday 14 July

    Highlanders v Rebels (1215)

    Crusaders v Blues (1435)

    Waratahs v Brumbies (1645)

    Lions v Bulls (2005)

    Sharks v Jaguares (2215)

    ********************

hnz picks for the final regular season round

Chiefs -- the Chiefs are rolling well and the Hurricanes, with the exception of their dismantling of the Blues last week, are experiencing a few hiccups in form.

Reds -- The Reds ought to be less worse than the Sunwolves.

Highlander -- The Rebels are desperate for a win to qualify for a playoff spot, but the Highlanders are looking to bounce back from a recent run of ordinary play. The Rebels are likely to run into a buzz saw on Saturday.

Crusaders-- The class Super Rugby franchise should steamroll the hapless Aucklanders, even with many Crusaders likely to be rested.

Waratahs-- Probably will be a dull game as the 'tahs have secured the Aussie conference and the Brumbies are going nowhere.

Lions -- The Lions have a bit of motivation to finish strong against the Bulls as the Jaguares are creeping up behind.

Jaguares -- The effing Sharks have been my bogey team all year so I'll pick the Jaguares 'cos I dunno . The Sharks are desperate for a win and a Rebels loss to sneak into the playoffs (and a meeting with the powerhouse Crusaders 555). The Jaguares need to get back to the form they exhibited before melting down in Pretoria against the Bulls llast week.
    Pues, aquí estamos.

Yeah it has rolled around rather quickly hasn't it.

Looks like it might be a bit more competitive this year (hopefully).

A repeat of last years final with the hosts reversed.

Saders would have to be almost unbackable favorites.

Joel Stransky said that for the Lions to win all 23 would have to be at 100%, hope the Saders were off their game, and still have some luck.

Saders magnificent in defence with very little ball and up against the penalty count.

    Worthy champions.

Big call. Not out of the realms of possibility if he keeps this form up though.

but the second up is WALLYS V SA.this could be make or break for the wallies, they need to put on a a really good show to silence the doubters, mind you the last game against the ABS.was encourageing.

^ Check your local guides ... thought it might have had kick-off closer to 5pm then 6 pm

The loss of Folau is another major blow for the Wallabies, who announced on Friday that back-rower David Pocock had not overcome a neck injury he picked up during the Eden Park Test.

ARGE BARGE'S no longer the wipping boys, that was the best of the best,no wonder they [arge]beat SA.last game, they tested the ABS.to the full.the score was a bit flattering.but who is goner beat the ABS. MAYBE WALES.
the WALLYS had to fight right to the end to beat SA.that would have taken a lot out of them both, the result was always in doubt.
SA. are no longer the bully boys of rugby,i always viewed them playing the game as on the border of thuggery.

What a game between the All Blacks and the Springboks. It started out looking as if the ABs would dominate and then the South Africans came roaring back. The All Blacks battled to within two, but the Springboks prevailed 36-34. The result could have been in favour of New Zealand, but the usually accurate Beauden Barrett had a rotten night at conversions, missing 4. His brother Jodie also made a big error with a quick throw in that resulted in a Willie le Roux try.

For the Springboks supporters that last five minutes was certainly stressful.

I counted the missed cons./penalties and the give away try 29points in all.oh why why didn't they bring on DAMIAN MAC.earlier he does miss many kicks.when barrett is off then bringing on mac.certainly helps him infield they are brilliant.
and didn't the argi bargies give the wallys a lesson on keeping your cool.
