No chance. Overall englands ball skills were terrible. How many times was the ball taken off them, how many poor passes.

Up against a good team, they will get filleted like a dead fish.

    Perhaps, or not.
    Consider their competition thus far.

Another great game, Senegal 2 - 2 Japan, making it difficult to predict England's opponents in the knockout stage.

Happy with the England win, nice to see them get a few goals and not having to worry when they concede one. It cheered my Dad up, having Hamilton win the GP and England win the cricket as well. Nice little hat-trick for a Sunday afternoon.

Who will England play in the World Cup knockout stages? Possible last 16 and quarter-final opponents

The Three Lions are through to the next round with a game to spare, but may want to nab the runners-up spot

Get in. England are through to the last 16 of the 2018 World Cup.
Gareth Southgate’s side thrashed Panama 6-1 to secure a knockout spot with a game to spare, but a word of warning: maybe try and finish second in Group G.

    3

The England players celebrate after their victory against PanamaWhere could England finish?

They are guaranteed at least second place, but are currently top of the group after two games played.
It is still all to play for in terms of who will finish top with both England and Belgium level on points and they have the same goal difference.
England are top because fair play is factored in when points and goal difference are equal.

    3

England still have to play BelgiumIf two teams finish level on points in a World Cup group what are they separated by?

    1. Goal difference in all matches
    2. Goals scored in all matches
    3. Winner of the head to head meeting between two teams who finished level
    4. Greatest number of fair play points (yellow card = -1 points, two yellows resulting in a red card = -3 points, straight red card = -4 points, yellow card, then straight red card = 5 points)
    5. Random drawing of lots
Who could England play in the last 16?

If England finish top of Group G then they will face the runners-up in Group H.
If they finish second, they will play the winners of Group H, but that could mean they go on to face Brazil or Germany in the quarter-finals as opposed to Mexico or Serbia.

Why could finishing second provide an ‘easier’ route?

Should England finish second in their group, here is a speculative route to the final:

    • Round of 16: Senegal
    • Quarter-final: Mexico or Serbia
    • Semi-final: Spain or Portugal
    • Final: Brazil or Germany

When will England’s last 16 match be?

If England win Group G, they will play on Monday, July 2 at 7pm against the runner-up of Group H.
If England finish second in Group G, they will play on Tuesday, July 3 at 7pmagainst the winner of Group H.
What the’s full knockout stage fixture schedule?

If they are all gone, Fly Helsinki, Minsk in Belarus or Kiev in Ukraine which are equally close to some games , and get sleepr trains.
You'll need a visa which is linked to fan passport so need tickets, bon voyage,

From my experience of Russia it's like here money talks so tickets may be for sale but if you dont have any you'll need a tourist visas fro Velarus or Russia , Belarus has offered visa free transit via train

I wouldn't take my own car except Kaliningrad.Unless you have a nice old Lada to sell the bits !!

LOL. I did quite enjoy the match, and nice to see England hitting the back of the net. However, as a Brit, decades, decades of disappointment has taught me not to get my hopes up, and that they will f*ck it up at some point.

KLM to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Tallinn in Estonia and train or plane to Moscow would probably work also. No visa needed for Estonia.

Gonna be some good games, and some tears, in the 3rd round of games.

All games are now either 9pm or 1am Thai time.

Al 4 teams from Group D - Argentina, Nigeria, Iceland and Croatia can go through.

They do battle at 1am Wed morning.

9pm wed night see Ze Yermans against S Korea while Meh-he-co try to do Sweden. Everyone but the Koreans can go through.

Then 4 hours later Brazil need a result against Serbia to guarantee passage.

Engerland get Lukaku'd 1am on Friday morning.

Oracle she-goat from Samara predicts Russia’s win in World Cup game vs Uruguay

SAMARA, June 24. /TASS/. Zabiyaka, a she-goat from a Samara-based zoo, has predicted Russia’s win over Uruguay in its final FIFA World Cup group stage match to be played in Samara on June 25, a zoo official told TASS on Sunday.

The she-goat has anticipated Russia’s win. We trust her because she is never wrong," said Alyona Kireyeva, director of the zoo’s science and education department.

The prediction was made under a standard pattern. The goat was offered to pick between three bowls with carrots, cabbage and apples standing for Russia’s win, Uruguay’s win and a draw. Ultimately, she chose the one marked with the colors of the Russian flag.

Zabiyaka won the title of Samara’s World Cup oracle in a contest, with her rivals being a skunk, a hen, a python, a fox, a monkey, and a camel.

After wins in two group stage games, both Russia and Uruguay have cleared for the World Cup’s knockout stage. Russia are slightly ahead of Uruguay and will be the group’s leader if they defeat Uruguay or even end the game in a draw.

Russia is holding its first-ever edition of the FIFA World Cup, which kicked off in Moscow with a spectacular opening show at the Luzhniki Stadium on the night of June 14.

A total of 32 national football teams are participating. The teams were divided into eight groups, with four in each, and the top two from their relevant groups will proceed to the next round, known as the playoffs or the knockout stage, to keep vying for the much-coveted FIFA World Cup Trophy.

Eleven host cities, namely Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Saransk, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Samara, were selected to be the venues for the matches of the 2018 World Cup.

Incorrect. England are top by virtue of their better disciplinary record.
