McGregor looks to have a massive head, so maybe offer that as a target, to damage floyds hands

Just another angle to this, but has anyone ever seen McG go any distance?. We all know MW can and will last 12 x 3 easily enough but I vaguely recall seeing McG completely gased-out (as the commentators called it) after 2.5 x 5 in a fight he had not that long ago.

It could be but he is not the only one saying it. The fighter that spared with him in June made it clear that he was able to hit him at will.

That's why I predict a knockout. McG will run out of gas no way he can keep pace with the champ.

    Good points Headworx/Bsnub

I'm a huge fan of Mc G' but his inherent weakness has been his stamina.... TBH, the more I think about it, the less of a chance I give my boy Mc G.

In fact, I hope Mayweather wins, as they are specialists in 2 very different sports and it would be a great shame for boxing, if there was an upset (by some miracle).

No need to hope dickie. This thing is going to be a massacre. Unless McG suddenly tries an MMA take down.

I reckon boxing would get over Mayweather being ko'd quite quickly, personally

But it's not going to happen, sadly.

That his last KO was by what amounts to sucker-punch on a defenceless opponent doesn't bolster the case for him having the power to sit McGregor down. Kinda the opposite really.

I'm constantly vacillating over it. One minute I hope Floyd gets knocked the fuck out, the next McGregor.

Basically it comes down to who I think is a bigger cock at the time. They are easily separated on boxing and MMA skills but on that point they're very, very evenly matched.

He has become a billionaire and the richest guy in sports (not just 'boxing') for many years, because everyone wants to see him get KO'd. He plays up to his obnoxious persona, and 'Bling" personality. It's like someone coated him in glue and had him run naked through a retail outlet called "Rich Black Bastard".

Guy has a real Midas Touch, everyone he hand-picks to fight become millionaires as well

Funny, I literally just finished reading something from Brendan Schaub on the press tour and he said his main take-away was a new found respect for Mayweather because of precisely that: everything he does is calculated.

He also thinks that Mayweather 'won' the press-tour for whatever that's worth and he (Schaub) is a UFC guy too.

floyd mayweather has been convicted 5 times in a court of for beating this shit out of women.

he and mcgregor are currently trafficking in racial stereotypes and homosexual slurs.

if it were any other sport, there would be public outrage and boycotts.

but it's boxing, so apparently it's acceptable.

    just an observation.

i heard something today along the same lines....you'll notice that for all the trash talking that mcgregor is doing, he hasn't mentioned mayweather's 5 convictions for domestic violence.

is that because it's prohibited in his contract?

    Yup. It is rather disgraceful.

All these other sports really have to ditch the nannystate bullshit and get with the flow.

    Probably not.

He just doesn't want Mayweather's come back of 'Yeah, and on August 26th I'm gonna make it 6.'

    WTF, is that a joke?

I would not pay $4.99 for this shite...

The mouthy American git did have a lot of skills and power, and if he has 70% of what he had then he'll play with the mouthy Irish git for 4 or 5 rounds then knock him out. I doubt the mouthy Irish git will land a punch flush, but even if he does, with boxing gloves, the mouthy American git is tough and has a good chin.

Look at Canello's fight against the mouthy American git; he got schooled, and Canello is an excellent and powerful boxer...

So we gonna have a TD morning piss up down in Patpong for it?

A couple of mates usually go along Sukhumvit for the Sunday morning UFC fights. Never bothered going, but will go uot for this one.

One of the Plastic Paddy bars built on Boiler Room Fleecings for the fight, a crap breakfast and pints, then into the Patpong BJ Bars after?

If they would be kind enough to move the fight forward a week then I would be in Bangkok and join the fun.

This photo has Paulie Malignaggi upset .
    Big baby, it's a circus - what's he expect
He a great commentator, aint that good a boxer though

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ufc...-pictures.html

Conor McGregor in row with sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi after picture emerges of knockdown... but former boxer rages for full 'truth' to be exposed as he quits UFC star's camp

The American raged that pictures of him on the canvas during a sparring session were a misrepresentation after appearing to have been knocked down by the powerful UFC champion.

He claimed it was a push and if McGregor had 'any balls' he would release the full footage of their session.

Conor McGregor sparred 12 hard-fought rounds with the American, who has now quit camp

Malignaggi took to Twitter to vent his frustration and threatened to reveal the 'truth'.
In posts he later deleted, Malignaggi wrote: 'The video exists unedited of rounds 1 through 12, let the fans see.'
But a photographer with McGregor's camp later refuted Malignaggi's claims, posting a photo of his subject standing over the American and added: 'There is no conspiracy, there is no photoshop, just pure unadulterated power.'
And despite their disagreement with the handling of the footage, Malignaggi maintains there is a mutual respect between the pair, but his decision to leave the camp is final.
He also offered a tantalising glimpse into life in the 'Notorious' training camp with details of their scrap.
The 36-year-old told ESPN: 'Conor on the inside, he can get a little rough. He shoved me down, you know, but no knockdowns.
'Obviously, 12 rounds, you're gonna see there's a mark on my face. Very, very hard work for both of us.
'I was starting to get in a groove in the middle rounds, starting to land some good shots. Conor really came on strong in the end. It was back and forth.'

Surely then,if mayweather is so superior, then he should win by round 2? Maybe 3?
