    Colin Kaepernick accepts ACLU award

    Colin Kaepernick
made a surprise appearance Sunday night in Los Angeles, citing his mission of protest in accepting an advocacy award at an ACLU of Southern California banquet.

"We all have an obligation no matter the risk, and regardless of reward, to stand up for our fellow men and women who are being oppressed with the understanding that human rights cannot be compromised," said Kaepernick

Just want to thank the Seahawks for helping my Vikes take over the number one seed.
A few more victories, and literally all roads will lead through Minneapolis.

    SKOL VIKES!

If they yank Keenum for Teddy Bridgewater, I will burn every friggin piece of Viking memorabilia I own.
This Vikings team is as complete as I have ever seen, and that includes the 4 Super Bowl teams.
Only team in the NFL with the top five offense, a top-five defense, and Keenum, IMO should be in the running for MVP.

And just think if Dalvin Cook did not get injured.

It may very well be shaping up to be the Vikings year. No single team in the nfc should overly worry them and they can beat the pats at home in the sb. Very brad Johnson/Trent dilfer feel to keenum too. A poor mans joe Flacco from 2013 maybe.

the criteria for selection is "the person who most affected the events of the year, for better or worse".

past recipients have run the gamut from hitler to mandela.

and btw, i'm not saying that kaepernick will or should win...i made the post (which included mention of his award from the ACLU) in response to milkdud posting 'nobody cares'.

    clearly people care.

did anyone else see brady screaming at his offensive coordinator on sunday?

it was excused in the media and elsewhere that brady's a 'fierce competitor'. would cam newton or russell wilson be portrayed as such if they had done the same thing?

Murray and McKinnon have filled in nicely...currently the 6th ranked rushing offense. Got to give it to the O-line, too.

Rusell Wilson probably would. Newton wouldn't because Newton's an asshole.

But you're saying they wouldn't because they are black right?

Suh is the dirtiest player in the NFL that's why. He has a long record and is on a short leash with the league office not the same for Gronk. Not even close.

Why are you surprised about it? It is the fucking pats after all. If anyone has the NFL in their back pocket it is them.

you think the reason gronkowski only got one game is because he plays for NE?

gronkowski got one game for driving his elbow into the neck of a prone player who was out of bounds after the whistle had blown ....and smith-schuster got the same penalty for this hit between the whistles.

yeah, it's a brutal hit, and yeah it may have been unnecessarily rough, but the play was live.

A world unflinchingly framed behind one lens surely has to be a pretty dull place to live.

Yeah this hit was way more dangerous than Gronk's. You're gonna pretend like the play being live had something to do with it. That shit was pure nasty revenge with a long history behind it, and well earned too in my view. Burfict has a whole highlight reel of laying that exact hit on others. He had that hit coming to him for years, maybe he'll think twice next time before trying to injure someone again.

Suh has a very bad reputation in the league as a dirty player.

Suh is likely considered the dirtiest player in football.

    And he did it again.

And Gronk should be suspended for more than 1 game, IMO.

    Edit in:

Here are just a few of Suh's "Greatest Hits:"

Suh should NOT even be in the league
