The TV annoucers, including former head of officiating Mike Pereira were just totally beside themselves. As was the crowd, as was anyone watching the broadcast.
Here is where things get really interesting: Cards coach Bruce Arians noted in his postgame interview that for some reason the replay review teams in New York don't actually have access to the same visual feeds as the crowd in the stadium and the people on TV get. And guess what? The crowd and TV people get MORE angles. Yes, that is correct. Slobs on the couches get more angles than the people who make these calls. Seriously. The only time apparently that isn't true is on nationally televised games like Sunday/Monday night, when they have an adequate amount of cameras running that are "replay certified" or whatever.
Accountability for this problem resides.....hmmmmm.....well apparently no one actually knows where. Some faceless reviewer in New York now? Who apparently doesn't even have access to feeds that are being displayed on a freaking jumbotron for tens of thousands of people to see?
The NFL. It really is something else
