Academy Award winner Tom Hanks isn’t playacting when it comes to his love for the Oakland Raiders. The former Oakland resident is none too pleased about the Raiders’ eventual move to Las Vegas, vowing to not watch the NFL for two years after the relocation takes place.

“When the Raiders leave, I am going on an NFL moratorium for two years,” Hanks said at a fundraiser, via the San Francisco Chronicle.

“You cannot take the Silver and Black, put them in an air-conditioned dome in the desert, make them play on artificial turf within a stone’s throw of the fountains of Caesar’s Palace, and call them the Raiders.”
    Well actually Tom, you can.

I am stoked! JR is a real burner and will have a great career me thinks.

BTW the Seahawks were wheeling and dealing again. The will have six picks tomorrow. Should be interesting.

The Niners made out like bandits in the draft. If the new regime can coach as well as draft we might play 500 ball and excite some folks. I know the draft will put a few more butts in the seats as well. Going forward. I still think there may be some move for a known QB. The new guys are gamblers.... Happy for the first time in a few years. Navarro Bowman is back as well. Lately little things become bigger things if you are a Niner fan...

What's the latest on Kaeperdick? Is he still technically a 49er or free agent?

Nobody has signed him. Blackballed though nobody will say it. Not even a try out yet.

Agreed. The Bears got taken for a ride so badly, its embarrasing. The Niners had no intention of taking a QB in that spot, I am completely convinced of it. If you're sold on a QB, you don't dangle the pick. That was savage, the niners basically got a bunch of free picks and wound up drafting the exact same player they would have anyways.

Could be, but at number 9? Not the best pick at that spot IMO

Offense was overdrafted early and often this year

"Stole" being the key word when it comes to Cook.

There is a reason why he slid to 41. Numerous reasons.

There are no fucking choirboys in the NFL. As GM's go, Spielman is one of the best in the NFL. Minnesota did their homework on him, before they made that pic.

That's absurd. The guy has many, many run in's with law enforcement. He's not every other player and it wasn't one mistake either. He could be a steal or a total liability and PR nightmare. That's why he was there at 41.

Probably safer to say he'll fuck up again just like he's been doing since he was 13. No homework is going to make this pick a safe one. They took a gamble at a spot they felt comfortable.

You're right, they should've left them alone. Just like Arizona did when Tyrann Mathieu was available.

Cook is a criminal with numerous offenses and law enforcement run-ins. He's also an animal abuser, which is fucking weird.

Mathieu had a weed problem. That's it. And he had character references and a support system built into the team. And they took him in the third.

    So not the same thing.

I think they drafted Cook in a good spot, btw. Filled a big need with a super talented player.

He's not a steal at that spot, but he certainly could be. Its a go big or go home kind of a pick.

Figures the Bengals would pick up that waste of space.

Marvin Lewis better do something this year. Or he might finally find himself unemployed. They got Ross out of UDUB too.

    Very true....

Mixon had been ordered to stay away from his former girlfriend. It detailed the allegations, gleaned from court documents, that she leveled against him -- that after the two began quarreling, he challenged her to a play fight. She said she swung at Mixon, who then pushed her. He "grabbed me by my hair with both hands on the back of my head very very hard and tossed me across the room." When she tried to leave , she said Mixon "grabbed the back of my neck and slammed me down on the marble floor…. I was disoriented for awhile and could not get up, I remember he mumbled something about 'that's what happens when you try taking my son away from me.'" When she made it to her car, She said she realized Mixon had pulled out chunks of her hair.
