    That's a result!

    Well played NI ...

I missed the England game due to work and only heard them going 1 down in a meeting so pleasnantly surprised they managed to win.

Took England a while to wake up but when they did, whooosh.
Two great goals and a cracker from Bale for Wales.

Hart fkg useless,, should have had Foster out there.

    NI fought like men.

    Ukraine was very dissapointing.

Funny stuff when McNair wanted to be part of the fun

A Germany Poland draw would be a nice result for NI tonight.

Hart made a mistake with that wall, should have been an easy save.

I wouldn't replace him just yet.

Moments of mini euphoria have been very few and far between for England fans over the last couple of decades. In fact I think I've got to go as far back as the 2002 world cup when Michael Owen scored against Brazil for the last time I was moved from the sofa.

But this win was sweet. Mainly, probably, due to the fact that our opponents were Welsh and that it was sown up in the last seconds. It was also great to finally translate some of our form from qualifying onto the bigger stage.

We'll probably get stuffed by Slovakia on Monday, but in the meantime...

    COME ARRRRN ENGERLAND!

I am being fair and hope that your testicular ailments are painful. If not, let me know and I will round up some of my local intelligentsia and they will visit you and kick your car and make loud noises outside your house.

Did anybody notice how slow paced and happy Germany during that game...the whole time. No other emotion at all. I couldn't get my head wrapped around it.

Spain 2 up and looking for more. This could become an exhibition thrashing

Missed the Italian game, which is probably why I'm still awake.

...and Morata getting two pretty much removes the only question mark against them - whether they can do the business up front.

I'm rather partial to a Sagres myself. Comes with a premium alcohol percentage and makes a nice change from the Becks. Oh, that reminds me - *slurrrrrrrrrp*

    This game is shite.

Dad's Army's just starting on BBC2. I might go the "you stupid boy" route instead for this evening's entertainment.

The amount of chances Nani and Ronaldo haven't converted, nearly as frustrating as watching England.
