Beckham has landed here in the US. I don't follow EPL football much (prefer Italian Serie A), but I know its popularity in TH.
I wondered if #23 LA Galxay shirts were popping up in markets yet?
And what impact Becks might have on growing US enjoyment of football...yes, it is not the #1, 2, 3, or even 4 sport, but it does have its fans and the quality is not that bad.

There was a lot of media hype for the Becks when they arrived. But it seemed more for pop culture than sport. The Becks have a mansion in Beverly Hills and are hanging with some of the stars.
Initially, there will be more ticket sales, for the Galaxy. Real football fans may come out of the woodwork to see Beck play in LA and on the road.
Long-term effect for U.S. interest in football? Not much.
The U.S. fan base is largely from Latin American immigrants.
There are 4 other major sports as you folks know: NFL, MLB, NBA, and hockey.
Individual sports: golf, Mt. Biking, water sports, outdoor stuff etc.
Don't expect much in the short and long term future. I think there will be some disillusionment. Yes, he a good kicker with a bend.
