Nice stroll in the park today

Manuel Pellegrini's men kept their hopes of a quadruple alive with a comfortable victory over Remi Garde's strugglers

Manchester City eased into the fifth round of the FA Cup with victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park with Kelechi Iheanacho hitting a hat-trick and Raheem Sterling completing the scoring.

Manuel Pellegrini named the youngster in his starting line-up and was rewarded almost instantly with Iheanacho breaking the deadlock after just four minutes, slotting home from close range.

The 19-year-old then added his second from the penalty spot after Raheem Sterling was brought down by Leandro Bacuna before sliding home his third on the counter in the second half.

Iheanacho then had a hand in the fourth just minutes later, Sterling slotting home City’s fourth at the far post with Remi Garde's side well-beaten.

With Sergio Aguero dropping to the bench for City as both sides made four changes, Iheanacho took full advantage of his opportunity up-front with an excellent individual display.

Villa came into the match unbeaten in five games and held City to a goalless draw at Villa Park in November, but they offered little resistance in a dreadful performance.

The visitors were ahead inside four minutes when a corner from Fabian Delph, who was given a frosty reception against his former club, was diverted across goal by Bacary Sagna. It looked like Fernando was poised to score, but his close-range header was blocked, allowing Iheanacho to stab home from two yards out.

I see City and united are playing clubs at their respective levels in the 5th round of the F.A cup.

We're in all possible trophy tournaments mid season and he's gone!!

Let's hope the squad can give him the best possibly send off and bag the quadruple in his honour.

Odds on he moves across the City to Trafford to replace Pan face..

Ridiculous . . . sorry, but I do hope Guardiola crashes in his first season after spending 150 million.
You're quite lucky to have MU under LVG - what a loser team that is - nice to see MC on top

A guardiola train crash of a first season would indeed be highly entertaining. We need a team to take the Chelsea role for next season, and these classless band wagon jumpers fit the bill perfectly.

Manchester United to shut stand at Old Trafford after poor ticket sales

OLD TRAFFORD is set to be sectioned off in areas after ticket sales for Manchester United’s Europa League tie with Midtjylland have disappointed.

the Sir Alex Ferguson stand, which holds 26,000 seats, is due to be cordoned off as a result of the low demand from supporters.

The second leg tie in the last 32 of the Europa League is United’s next home game in all competitions, scheduled for February 25.

The lack of attraction though without Champions League football and heading to Old Trafford on a Thursday night clearly hasn’t appealed to the majority.

United have even attempted to draw more fans to the fixture by reducing ticket prices by 25% but are wary of low figures.

One trophy bought with oil money does not a season make. The owners will inevitably be disappointed.
I am hoping for an Everton West Ham final to restore the values of the FA Cup. We have enough teams bought by oligarchs and the oldest trophy should really go to an honest side. North v South would be a winner for the sport.

It's even worse going out in the semi finals.

Who would you want to draw in the semis out of.....

    Barcelona
    Real Madrid
    or
    Bayern Munich ?

It doesn't matter really because they'll have to beat 2 of those to win it anyhow.

The bookies have Real Madrid as the outsiders of those 3 to win it @ 7/2.
Get on!! Ronny is on fire !!

City are a measly 6/1 to be champions with an expat pub team defence and although they have 2 class players in KDB and Aguerro, they are not even big fish in a fast pool this year...see Leicester's Mahrez and Vardy

Ronaldo will tear that Citeh defence to shreds... if he doesn't get in first, it'll be that other guy who's shared the last 8 ballon d'ors

It's gonna be ugly either way

If Joe Hart stays on form then it's a real possibility..

Draws on Friday and i'm hoping for Bayern Munich 'cause we beat them away the other year.
Real Madrid Vs Atletico Madrid would be shit for the Spanish hoping for an all Spanish final.

My prediction is a City V Real Madrid final.

Been having a cheeky look for flights for San Siro in Milan on Saturday, May 28.

5-1 outsiders with the bookies. If they beat Palace on Saturday then anything's possible.

I was in the Man City end when they beat Bournemouth 4-0 three weeks ago. I learned a few new songs. One was

    'kolokolokoloyayayayayayayaya'.

Which is done to the tune of 'no limits'. And you have to like, punch your arms in the air as you sing it.

<edit>....and jump up and down on the spot

Why do they bother to have separate manchester teams? Just combine them with united and liverpool as well (fuck it, through in Bolton, might as well). Might have a chance at least then?
