OK kids my ideal tennis date would be Eugenie Bouchard and Maria Sharapova wrestling naked in a jacuzzi full of jelly.

Who is your favourite tennis player and why?

^^ The way to make tennis interesting.

Ah yes....it's that time of year when wet lettuce tennis fans are on the box with their faux fanaticism. They make my teeth itch.
Come along Greg/Tim/Andy we are soooooo rooting for you oh yah!

Eugenie is out to some Chinese no-hoper.

Turning into a bit of a Kournikova, definitely pokeable but shit at tennis.

Harry, I thought that Wimbledon was your thread...Looks like that blaney feller's "got you beat" this time, the barstard!...

But nice move to shift it over your way...Ana Ivanovic is a hot little player, but she's got someone fawning over her already...But her fellow countryman is a better player...

Djokovic is a special guy, both humble and wild, as well as being a superb tennis player...

Never forget when he beat Nadal a few years back to win the Aussie Open, I think it was...One of the longest matches in history which a lot of people thought was Nadal's when it came to the fifth set...

And when he won it, he tore his shirt off like Superman...Some people didn't like that gesture, but it was one of his most significant wins...And the people who didn't like it were probably Nadal fans, anyway...

He was a bit of a grumbley fucker when Murray beat him at Wimbledon though.

Heather Watson played beautifully against Hantuchova and simply blew her off the court in the second set.

She seems to have learned the Murray trick of just keeping the ball in play on the stretch, rather than going for unlikely winners, and it paid off in spades.

An excellent performance considering how much her preparation was disrupted by injury.

My enjoyment of the match was somewhat marred by the gallery of glistening white beached whales in the stands. It makes a compelling case for the Burkha. Or perhaps they could get Greenpeace in to push them back out to sea.

Excellent match, only caught the last 5 games due to this thread, she played really well but just couldn't get over the line. Hopefully that'll give her confidence for the future and she can break into the world top 10?

I've not seen it. It's nearly 4am here in Korea now, so I'm orf to bed. I'll have a look in the morn.

BTW, there's only 1 truly sexy tennis player, so here's something for you to feast your eyes on:

    Cycling should be banned!!!
