Don't know why everyone is writing England off tonight, 12 and 13 look a bit dodgy but rest of team seems ok, I think it will be a lot closer than people are expecting, Wales to win but only by circa 5 points. Ireland to trounce Italy and Scotland to sneak it against France.

12 and 13 is an area that makes me nervous.....

That said, this is the weirdest Wales England build up because I don't feel the tension at all. I think it's because if we lose I think we will beat them in the RWC. Win tonight, kiss the RWC game goodbye. That's how I feel anyway.

I'd like to see that, and well worth a punt. I really feel the Scots, if they can get off to a good start, can get some great results and be well up the table.

I'd have a punt on them if I was back home.

Wales have class and experience at centre. England could be blown away there, but we have some real ability and skill in those positions tonight too - if our youngsters can stand up to the pressure and play then it's a strong centre partnership. If...

Thanks for the links everyone. I didn't realize it was on BBC - Filmon should do me a treat...

Why? Who would you rather have? Doesn't the second row concern you?

It matters fuck all who wins the 6N in a WC year anyway.
Personally, I think england should be playing burgess very match if they think he is going to be in the wc squad..

I am writing England off because they are no bloody good. My bet is on the number of tries exceeding three but this is more in hope than expectation. So, first and foremost I want to win some money but it would be pleasing to see England destroyed.

No more than England deserve. Blew them off the park in the second half.

They'll be wailing and gnashing their teeth in the valleys tonight.

Bob will be happy Wales lost, but not the manner of the loss; Wales offered very little.

Very happy with the new 10.

I'd be worried if I was a Welsh fan as that was basically their first choice 15.

As I said, the Wales team looking samey and with nothing in the wings to liven it up.

The loss doesn't really bother like it normally would, though listening to Peter Richards talk some shite isn't helping.

I'd got Sam to 6 and Tupiric at 7 just to bring something different with Sanjay Wills in for Cuthbert.

Not a great game, if that's their 'greatest performance under Lancaster' then they should be as concerned as I am.

When will Gatland start to think that they might just need a plan b?

    Well he had one today.

Plan A went well, then he switched to plan B with which we offered very little in the rest of the first half tapering off to absolutely fuck all throughout the second half.

I would also start with Assey and use the Melon from 60......

England are not a top team. They will lose in Ireland and won't win the WC. We are decent and strong team, dangerous to every team we play, but we are still only the 4th or 5th best team in the world...

You need a lot more than that, Bob. Wales were shocking against an average team, at home, really motivated, they deserved to lose by more...

Your front row, fuk me, terrible. Our fully fit second choice front row is superior; I didn't realize quite how bad you were there and with so little backup/depth. Jenkins cannot be picked against England in the WC, he lost the game for you upfront in both of the last 2 games.

Your second row is very, very average at international level. Our 3rd (or maybe 4th string) pair were equal to them. Poor.

Your backrow are good, but against an average but physically strong backrow, and being well ahead in the first half with turnovers, well, all areas around the ruck really, your loosies badly lost the plot in the second half, and could have been penalized off the park for playing the ball on the floor at every English attacking phase.

Your backs are excellent, so why the fuk are they doing nothing for nigh on 80 minutes??? &, your big fellas better learn how to tackle little fellas if they wanna stop tries.

Very poor by Wales, and they should be very concerned, they are worse than 2 years ago (when they looked like they could become world beaters).

England were ok, our front row is probably close to our best front row and they are decent; Marler has really improved his set piece work; good to see. We have a lot of depth in the second row, that's good to see. Our back rowers are average at international level; Haskell, for example, just isn't international level, he always, eveeeeeery game, makes basic errors which costs points; but they are strong and combatative.

Our 9 and 10 were decent, especially the 10, I like him a lot, good kicking skills and takes the ball quite flat, but still sees the options; at last a talented player at 10; hope he keeps the place.

Centres look decent, and we have Burgess and the Samoan wrecking ball, and Eastwood, so it looks so much better there than 12 months ago. Still need a lot of work to get things right, but potential - not world beaters though, I'd much rather have the Welsh centres. Back 3 look fine, especially Watson; he was outstanding in the under 21s world cup, and did very well yesterday; can defend and score tries. I don't think we have any decent cover at all for the back 3.

7/10 for skill. 9/10 for grit. Wales made us look better than we are. Ireland will bring us back down to Earth (maybe Scotland too...).

An enjoyable read from: Wales v England ratings: The best and worst of the two teams in Six Nations opener - Wales Online

Philip Davies • 8 hours ago
Gatland had a plan A, didn't work, keep playing plan A, still not working, first mistake. He has got one of the most portent attacking & defensive players in the northern hemisphere ( Liam Williams ) and kept him on the bench, absolutely criminal. When George North left the field, ( blood replacement ) Liam came on and the first two contacts he had with ball and opposition he came off better and made ground. Before he could carry on in his undoubtedly better play, he was pulled to let GN back on, and to be honest had a shocker. Loss of game, caused by bad management/coaching

Agree with you Phillip. Although bad management as it seems maybe the cause as you say. Maybe its time for Gatland (although I am thankful for all his/their hard work) et al to move on? Same plan A no plan B. Liam williams should of started at full back and Halfpenny on the wing to replace Cuthbert. That first hit on George North (with the right foot) though looked full of intent bybthe English forward to me?

I don't know why people in Wales continue to support or believe in a passionless and pretentious team and a broken rugby union. Why do the people of Wales continue to support a game that we do not and will not excel in? The SH media call us "The hopeless romantics" this is I believe is what we are and should be deemed as when it comes to rugby. We do not posess a winning attitude or fortitude. Maybe many years of oppression has instilled this deep wound, and therefore a lack of confidence for us to move forward as a civilised nation. I am starting to give up hope in our national pastime and the W.R.U. Delusions of grandeur. Move on forget rugby. All hope is lost.
