I would give Benji a 50/50 chance, and no chance if St George miss out on the finals.

Typical Bruce, isolate a few words from a post and change their context before attempting to score points.... very slimey and dishonest.....

Bruce I don't like talking about league because I follow Wests.... the underachievers if ever there was one....

I watch plenty of league, I'm a particular fan of the way Thurston lead his team after that shakey start, what a player.....

but I still see it as 5 cuddles and a kick.... because that's what it is....

Jesus! Why do we always lose to the bottom sides.

    Tigers 34 Storm 16

Every team that needs to get off the bottom beats us. Look at Manly beaten us twice this year.

Oh well we will have to put it down to the Blue Moon syndrome.

It is just proof of what a tough competition it is. The Tigers are a bloody good side...and the Raiders are ahead of the Cowboys right now as well.

Having said that the Warriors were not good against Cronulla. They don't belong in the top eight. Two people disappoint me...number one is Sam Tompkins...the most expensive guy in the team...way ahead of Sean Johnson...and one of the most expensive in the NRL...his performance today was pathetic and affected the confidence of the whole team. I believe Sean Johnson made him look good. If he was the best player in Sper League then it is a shite comp.

Also I really have doubts about Andrew McFadden as a coach. He is a decent coach, but not top drawer. However until they can find somebody better he is it. Oh why did they let Ivan Cleary go?

I thought Manly could have easily put 50 against the cane-toads.

And that replacement winger is mega.

Great to see Sam Thursday, Dracula Bennet and Wally Wanker on the end of a hiding.

    Brilliant performance by the silvertails.

What a great weekend so far.... To see the Tigers win and losses to Storm and the Broncos......

Only a blow job at half time could make an improvement on that !!

^ Tooves could wind up as one of the most sought after coaches in the NRL. Dumb shit, the issues this year were hardly due to him.

As for the games , put that down to the blue moon.

As for your blow job, I think you'll end up with blue balls.

I reckon ex halfbacks make the best coaches and Toovey I believe is a good coach.

Coaches like Bennet and Meninga have always had champion players to work with that could be coached by me and still win most games.

Once again Manly had a side like Brisbane on the ropes for almost the entire game with brilliant attacking play.

Very, very impressive to watch them play that brand of Rugby League yesterday.

Toovey took over a top side from Des Hassler that was ready made for anyone to takeover and find success. Despite a rather healthy 58% win ratio he can't seem to get them over the line in finals.

In fact the first game he coached Manly in was a Loss in the World Club championship. Not a big final but still a final. Got beaten in the Semis by Storm and then beaten in the Grand Final by the Roosters.

If you are going to be looked at as a great coach you got to get your team over the line in finals. After all isn't that how we judge great players.

Great players turn up for the big games, coaches must too. So far Toovey hasn't.

I know that he is the scapegoat of a new regime at Manly and all the politics that come with it but I would suggest that at his next club he probably won't be handed a ready made team and will find that finding success will be a little bit harder than he is used to.

They deserve to be there. Funny thing, the coach is saying how much he likes it here (Aussies do) and wants to be here for another 10 years...I wouldn't be talking like that right now...mind you Cronulla are a much better team than they look on paper...but it was a pretty lame defensive performance

Dave Taylor signed by St. George on a 2 year deal. Never in the history of big forwards has one man with so much potential delivered so little, and you would doubt the Dragons will be able to get anything out of him besides brain-snaps, missed tackles, and handling errors either...

Edit to add, it's the Calatans Dragons in France that signed him, not St. George. Either way, they'll wish they hadn't.

Absolutely Hate that glassing grub Greg Bird, but his sledge on Taylor in Origin goes down as one of the best.

After Taylor knocked on for the second time, The Grub approached him, and for all the world to hear yelled at his Titans teammate,

That's two ya' dumb cu nt, that's two now.

Poor bastard was playing for his spot and couldn't even count on his mate.

^How Bird gets into the NSW Origin team (when he's not suspended) is a mystery, he's not that good and never has been. Having said that, any QLD supporter is glad he's there. He's way out of his depth and good for at least 3 pressure-deflating penalties per game.
