So 2 people with no idea or interest in the sport get higher results than the wendyballists who doubtless watch soccer for hours each week.

    8/20

Christ, Ewood park is an eyesore.

White Hart Lane is a bit different from when I used to live around the corner. And definitely not better.

And the tv coverage of course regularly focuses on the surrounding area of the stadia, particularly when the grounds are in the lower leagues.

You can see the roofs, structures, colours, names of stands on the TV, no?

And you'd get 20/20 looking at a Poundland blocking an obscure piece of a rugby stadium roof ?

Same as I take the Guardian weekly sports quiz which is 1 Rugby and a load of wendyball questions. I take pleasure in confirmation I know nothing about wendyball.

I was actually testing a theory that in a quiz on a subject one knows nothing about, blind guesses will get you around 50%.

I'm no stati, statistali, statt, erm..

I'm crap at maths but I don't think your theory would hold up when there are 4 options for each question. 25% would seem to be it.

    I couldn't even manage that though, I got 3/20!

Maybe ,however in a multiple choice quiz with 4 options 25% correct would be the random distribution.

What do I know, there are three kinds of people those who can count and the rest

I also tied with Dillinger and the average chimpanzee with 5 out of 20 from a 4 choice multiple selection!

I am not really sure that qualifies as 'fairweather'
