I love the way that non Maoris cant understand it, but then I guess it's true....

Sivivatu was thing.... "I'd rather do the cibi, from my culture"

Rodney So'oialo was thinking "I'd rather do the Siva Tau, from my culture"

Jonah Lomu was thinking "'d rather do the Sipi Tau, from my culture"

And Daniel Carter thinks "I'd rather be Morris dancing cos Ali Williams looks like a cock"

As Great Britain won the first ever Baseball world cup, it is clear that Baseball is in British blood, and is our birthright.

    ....Or is that rounders.

I'm doing some painting tonight - want to come round and watch it dry? I'll play some random cheering, and put on some high pitched over excited commentary, with an advert every 2 seconds. It will be right up your street.

I was of the opinion that New Zealand will win the second test by a decent margin.....

Now I have seen that England have picked Farrell and 36, I know that New Zealand will win by a decent margin.....

Is the Haka so important really?

Anyway England have a decent side out for the next test and a very impressive bench. Disappointed Cipriani will not get a chance to stake his claim.
I expect him to start the midweek game now.

Dagg injured and it saves Hansen dropping him because he was shit in the first test. Read still out which is a big miss for the Kiwis.

England: Mike Brown, Manu Tuialgi, Luther Burrell, Billy Twelvetrees, Marland Yarde, Owen Farrell, Danny Care; Ben Morgan, Chris Robshaw, Tom Wood, Geoff Parling, Joe Launchbury, David Wilson, Rob Webber, Joe Marler.
Replacements: Dylan Hartley, Matt Mullan, Kieran Brookes, Courtney Lawes, Billy Vunipola, Ben Youngs, Freddie Burns, Chris Ashton.

New Zealand: Ben Smith, Conrad Smith, Ma'a Nonu, Cory Jane, Julian Savea, Aaron Cruden, Aaron Smith; Jerome Kaino, Richie McCaw (captain), Liam Messam, Sam Whitelock, Brodie Retallick, Owen Franks, Dane Coles, Tony Woodcock.
Replacements: Keven Mealamu, Wyatt Crockett, Charlie Faumuina, Patrick Tuipulotu, Victor Vito, TJ Perenara, Beauden Barrett, Malakai Fekitoa.

England on the up and NZ standing still. England by 10. Wales to flounder.

Indeed we do. Building. Not the finished article. Its a shame that England have to keep building though. You never see the Kiwis saying "We're in a building phase". As long as Lancs keeps bringing in new blood and developing players properly, we might be in with a chance of a consistent top 4 position.

How is it though that England, with all their mediocre players, none of whom are world class, and none would ever get onto the bench of the illustrious welsh squad, how is it that England is the team that sometimes duffs up the SH teams, home and away, getting the odd win?

    Fair comment BC?

Agreed.... with the exception I mentioned, but you don't need 15 World Class players, you need a team......

Who said that?.... are you one of those that reads a negative against your team as a positive for the writers team?

That said, the successful Lions was built on Wales and not England, that shows how far you have come in a year. Picking Care again was the biggest single factor....and as you know I have already said Care is World Class

Belief, I don't go for this crap that England claim to have an inferiority complex when playing the all Blacks..... we do however.

We wait for the opportunity and something always goes wrong on the day. It's definately a mental thing..... oh and having Rhys Priestland.

    Belief. I agree.

If the squad doesn't believe, maybe the fans should start to instead? You ever watched one of those american movies where the down and out team, with no chance, get roused by the crowd? I reckon that could help the Wales team as well - everyone one, in the press, in the pubs, in the internet, saying and believing that they can win, rather than predicting a huge loss every time. After all, this is how you beat England more than not - the people believe and the players deliver perhaps?

I look forward to you predicting a win every time Wales play

It' not hard to look forward and see a settled and experienced squad peaking for the RWC.
I suspect Lancaster is smarter than that and he will be blooding more players right up to the summer of 2015. RWC may be priority but he wants to keep it moving and accepts the need for change.
He has learned from Woodward's failure.

He will be looking for another (3rd) understudy in every position, not just for RWC but beyond. In 15 months time he will want a man he can trust to come off the bench if he loses Brown, Farrell, Tuilagi, Care, Robshaw, Hartley etc.

The props are my biggest concern though, quality is very thin on the ground.

Wales have decent 1st 15 despite confusion and inconsistency at half back. Who will replace Adam Jones, where are the next second row stalwarts? Is there a 9 or 10 that Gatland does not have a downer on?

The star next season will be George North. Just watch him grow at Saints.

Oh I always believe when I am there, and I think you'll find our crowd in Cardiff is rather good at raising the team...... Funny 'cos when it suits you you love taking the piss out of the Welsh for bigging up their team...... remember I read you on another forum.....

I don't however think for one second that honest predictions on Teak Door influence anything.....

10 is our big problem, we just don't have one good enough, I'd go with Biggar myself, I think he's got a better head on him that Priestland. Hook doesn't come into it despite what some people claim about him........

England also have the same issues, Farrell, Flood, a procession of average 10's like us.....but I was impressed with Freddie Burns last week. I really think they should have stuck with him.

Club form is something else, sometimes a player is just made for the big stage, Gareth Edwards was the greatest example, hardly played for Cardiff, never trained and yet played 53 consecutive games for wales and is (debatably, so as not to listen to those who will howl for Nigel Starmer Smith) still the outstanding number 9 to play the game. I'm not saying freddie Burns is that man, but I liked his maturity and that's often how you find such players, when someone has to step into the breech when the perceived number 1 is unavailable.

It's getting close. Most positions have someone you would trust not to make a complete balls up.

Front row is creaking a little though, and as good as Corby is, he's always injured so might as well plan for life without him.
    Hooker - Hart, Webber, Youngs
Locks we have a lot of depth right now. I would have gone with Atwood from the start with Lawes, and launch on the bench for this match. Muscle in abundance, and Lawes led the lineout well in the 6N

Back Row - too many, but no stars really. Wood is a sure in when fit.

8 - Morgan, Vuni, and people like Haskell slots in nicely if all else fails.

SH - Care. Youngs not cutting it. Need something new there.
FH - Faz, Burns, Ford, Cips, Myler maybe.
Centres - never in my memory have we had such choice. Almost too many.
FB - Brown, Foden, and quite a few youngsters putting their hands up as well.
Wings - No one I would say is all out class in this position, but its getting there.

All quite young as well, and you can easily see most of them still being around in 2019 as well so its a balancing act between getting these guys experience, but not ignoring new blokes coming through as well. Futures bright - need a few WC players though, and consistent wins.
