No chance in the CL. Good team though, playing really well. I reckon they'll win the Premier League, maybe nothing else, but that's the big one for them this year.

They have also done little wrong in the Premier League, as they are top of the table
    No they're not.

If they do succeed, then at least the other ragheads will know how much money they have to spend to compete (1Bn quid over five years).

Nothing precarious about it, there already in the last 16....hang on, Roberto Mancini?

This is from 2 seasons's ago, isn't it

Anyhow, hope they don't! As aside from the goaly, they're all foreigners..most of the bench too...it's a fekin disgrace to the English game and shouldn't be allowed...prefer any of the other contenders to win, including Man U; at least they play some natives.

Lescott and Milner play bit parts near the end of games already won. It's all a sham! How do the Mancs tolerate it?

Nice to see Teakdorians paying attention.
Khun Aguero played a bit part yesterday against Blackburn coming on for a 50 second two touch goal.
Blackburn are having a bad day on here!

They won fuck all for years, so they'll happily take being whored out as an Arab's plaything just to pretend they've actually earned something.

Yup. Virtually unplayable in the fortress of Etihad stadium, but away they seem to get a bit of travel sickness against the likes of Sunderland, Cardiff, etc.? Away form seems to be improving ominously though..

Anyone but Chelski for me though.

They may have won f all for years but they have always had their loyal fans and a regular full house at Maine Road even when they where in Div 2.

Now the sponsorship has come in same as most clubs these days, it's glorious.

You have to admit they are a pleasure to watch with world class stars and have enhanced the Premier league worldwide.

No doubting the quality, CCC, but there being no regulations in place on limiting the foreign presence on the pitch is a thorn in the side if English football.

Business is business, fine....but we have to give English youth a chance. We will be left in the international wilderness unless we copy the likes of Germany where Bundesliga clubs must field 4 indiginous blokes in their first 11s

Those fans would all be on their knees sucking Arab cock if it meant winning the Champions League.

As for sponsorship, that was a quick phone call from one Arab Playboy to another, and it's still the Emirati people's money that these pricks are squandering on their plaything.

The only thing I'll admit is that they are as pretentious these days as Real Madrid and their state-subsidised Galacticos bollocks.

    Agree 100%.
Friend of mines son had trials and a 6 week placement at a premiership club academy.
You would expect an academy to be all English up and coming new talent!
    No!
The big clubs are recruiting and signing up kids from overseas.
What chance has the local kids got?

Quadruple?....Wigan got closer last season than Citeh.

Normally that sort of talk comes from the press, but coming from the club captain himself will fire up all the rest of the opposition.

i'd be suprised if the uk treble happens again

One step closer with another average 4 goals per game win.

Maybe they will or won't? Cup games are often the spin of a bottle. But I would not bet much on any of the first 5 Prem teams for the eventual winner. Never seen so many teams in with a shout. Also the bottom is tight. (did I just say that) Which 3 of the bottom 11 will be relegated. The bookies must be lovin this season.

The year 2008 was chosen for the starting point because it was the year Sheikh Mansour bought Manchester City and began turning the Citizens into one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

The bottom lines worked out as follows:

Arsenal net spend = £11.1 million.

Chelsea net spend = £328.7 million.

Man City net spend = £509.6 million.
That's one title in which there is no competition.

So much for Financial Fair Play. It's a shame some rich Arab is being allowed to buy himself some token trophies to put on his mantelpiece.

Excellent point 'Arry. I very much dislike the Gooners, but in this regard they have been decent.

But, Man City and Chelski aren't the only teams to abuse this spending issue; Delia Smith throws around the cookery book money like nobody's business...

If somebody came in and took a look at your club. Transformed every aspect of the club for the better. Transformed the area around the stadium creating employment and putting in place the best facilities on the planet. Got the best people available to make all this happen so he didn't have to micro manage it and last, but not least gave you the team to play the best football you will ever see whilst still keeping prices relatively sensible you would absolutely love it....but until then you and all the others keep on telling yourselves you're doing it 'the right way'.
