What's this, Scottish Sports Personality of the year...

Well, congrats to the blue skinned folk. Do they have any cricketers they can spare us?

Maybe it's because he is coached by the also deadly-dull Ivan Lendl that he is actually winning stuff though.?

After tennis they should form a comedy duo.

Andy Murray, the first British man in 77 years to win Wimbledon, claimed the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award and then apologised if he sounded bored.

"No matter how excited I try to sound my voice always sounds boring -- that's just my voice, I'm sorry! I'm very excited right now! Thank you very much everyone," said an emotional Murray.

Murray took a 56 percent share of the public vote with a total of 401,470.
    Halfpenny claimed 65,913 votes.

Team of the Year - British and Irish Lions
Coach of the Year - Warren Gatland
Overseas Sports Personality of the Year - Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel

Andy Murray was 1/40 to win it, so no real surprise.

Good call on the other two.

As for Coach of the year, how come not Ivan Lendl?!

Fair enough Murray took his chance when it came in reach, but my view is he wouldn't have won anything but for Nadal's long injury.

He's beaten Nadal in finals before, and in Slams, who says he wouldn't have beaten him on grass? It's not Nadal's favourite surface.
