    The greatest leg spinner

    Abdul Qadir
He is widely regarded as a top spin bowler of his generation and was included in Richie Benaud's Greatest XI shortlist of imaginary cricket team from the best players available from all countries and eras. Former English captain Graham Gooch said that "Qadir was even finer than Shane Warne"

Warne would be my choice. Bowling in tandem with Brett Lee Australia were virtually unbeatable.

Warne, not just for his skill with the ball, but also for his ability to out think, and manipulate the opposition.

And as for his action - well, they changed the rules for him, so let's just say he got away with it.

    Brett Lee?

A second rate test bowler at best......

Here is what you should have written...

Nice pic of Tufnell, but he doesn''t qualify for any list of leg spinners, good or bad.

This is a list of international cricketers called for throwing. Those marked in bold were called for throwing in a Test match.
This list is incomplete; you can help by expanding it.
Players who have been reported to the ICC because of official concerns about their bowling actions but never called in a match. They were all cleared to continue bowling without sanction

Nice copy and paste of your previous bollocks post Dave.

Poms are so unsportsmanlike when it come to showing recognition of our athletes who caused you pain - not to mention boring.

I mean FFS. Warne had man tits during his playing days, so if you are suggesting he took steroids you are pulling yourself.

Even IF he did ( im going with the weight loss pills as it just makes more sense - look at him now with his Botox and hair growth treatment ) what difference would it have made to his ability to spin the ball and use his amazing cricket brain

He fielded in slips for a reason. He was too fat to run and made no secret of his love for of pizzas and hamburgers at lunch.

There is no logical reason for a spin bowler to take steroids. Even so, CA clamped down on harshly with a 12 month ban - whilst Pakistan fast bowlers who DID take steroids - which was easy to see with their beefed up muscles were let off the hook scot free by the PCB.

So what is your opinion or your favorite leggys action? Do you think it is fair they bent the rules specially for his bent arm?

Methinks you are just another Aussie hating Pom who still feels the pain of the years of flogging we gave you in sport, and are annoyed that your empire sent us convicts to a warm country with the best beaches in the world whilst you lot had to stay in rainy and mouldy engerland . I won't go into the type of people who now live there. I will leave those below the belt remarks to the likes of marmite.

I will post some more cricket facts again which funnily never seem to get a reply.

Murali got a huge amount of his wickets from the many tests he played against minnow countries - as Warne did not. I posted the stats earlier as you know.

On top of that murali , who averages OVER 100 in Australia CHOSE not to tour there several times . How can you call him the best when he only played matches that HE wanted to- and has very bad figures outside of the pitches that were doctored for him in SL or against the strongest teams

Agree that Lee was nothing special - though very quick.

Yes. McGrath was something special. His ability to get top order wickets so consistently really is outstanding.

    Some facts:

    1. Warne was so brilliant he went to play at the home of cricket.
    2. Murali was a cheating Paki kunt.
    3. Lee is a joke.
    4. English beaches are not shark, jellyfish and croc infested shitholes full of Ockers.

    A Sinhalese Pakistani.... Interesting.....

Murali was a great bowler, Australians feared him and didn't like his skin colour so they got their umpires to hound him.....

Not sure why, he wasn't as good as Warne.

He wasn't a leg spin bowler either. He bowled off spin.

    What nonsense.

With the naked eye his action looked very suspect.

Darrel Hair was the only one with the guts to do what every other umpire was thinking. Ended up losing his job for rightly pulling up Pakistan for ball tampering too.
