They have a real possibility of emulating their National team ie disappearing without trace before the real competition gets underway.

England and Germany share half of the remaining teams between them, and I think it's the first time 4 German clubs got trough to the knockout stage.

Bayern lost only 2 games all year, against English clubs in both cases, and the last one made no difference because they couldn't be pushed from the top of their champions league group anymore. Arsenal is bloody dangerous, though. That can go either way.

I hate Arsenal, but I hate Munich more... I hope both legs are 0 - 0 draws, lots of bad tackles, yellows and reds, and they both lose in a penalty shoot out.

I reckon Man City will do a number on barcelona. That number being 0...

Setting up to be a quater-final round of death, looking at the teams who are likely to be in it.

Whoever wins this year will have earned it

    C'mon Man Utd

Funny how "we" always talk about the EPL as being the best league. Spain and Germany don't seem to bad as well.

Since Wigan are not and never will be in this "league" I am always happy to see Man U pull one out of the frying pan. Now I bet gigs starts playing more after last night. He is not a scholes but he has that spark and craft that united lack at the moment. Moyes is probably intimidated about playing someone older than himself.

I wonder who Man U are hoping for? They are sure to have a hard time but then as the new "sage" of Man U, old man Rooney says it is a cup compition and and anything can happen

    Barcelona v At Madrid

Going to be a stonker of a tie. Expect some yellow cards and perhaps a bloodied Barca nose come the end of the 2nd leg. Wouldn't automatically hand this to Barca at all.

    PSG v Chelsea

Could be a classic tie, but Jose will probably go with his ultra defensive bore them to death and then hit them once while they fall asleep tactics.

Could be 1-0 after both legs. Or PSG hopefully will dazzle and get 3 or 4 over the two legs.

Over two legs, I think Barca will be fine.

Probably a two goal lead from the first leg and a three goal lead from the second.

Although if they put a decent English ref on it and he booked every example of simulation they'd both be down to 9 players for both legs.
