Cook is one year older than Barbie and in a different league - the way he is going, he may even break some of tendulkars records.

Barbie's batting average is 24 and his bowling 30 - more like a bits and pieces player with attitude than a real all-rounder.

So what is he, a batting allrounder or a bowling allrounder? He is mediocre at both.

You can't seriously compare Cook and Barbie as batsmen. Barbie has had a good series, but he usually saves his best for Australia (more a sign of our shite batting - but yes, he Clarke has been his bunny this series) and generally sucks playing outside of England. He was averaging 35 with the ball not long ago, compared to his current mediocre average of 31'ish - so he has improved with the ball. He has been rubbish with the bat for the most part though.

Anyway, you obviously like him marmers ....... let's see how he goes down under.
