Anderson Silva VS Chris Weidman II

    UFC 162 Results:

I don't see any UFC fans here... I am close friends with Chris Lieben (long time UFC fighter) and have been to many a gym with Michael Bisping.. That said I'm a big MMA fan.

So Silva VS Weidman II: who will you bet on? I'm a long time Silva fan and hope he can get his belt back... But I wouldn't be upset if he lost again and Weidman were the new undisputed champ. Anderson has given so much to the sport and based on that if her never accepted another fight is still be a huge fan... But he is 38 years old and it may be time for the spider to focus more on family.

So MMA fans, what's your opinion?

I know the Count and Chris Lieben... After the count beat Lieben in London they actually started to get along. Lieben is from my home state and city and offered a number of courses to law enforcement as well as small MMA gyms where they both do charity.. Sometimes monitary and sometimes in teaching skills. Michael is a damn good man (for a Brit) And Chris is one of a kind. Mind you neither of the cunts ever got me free UFC tickets lol

I should add... If I had to bet a sum of money on the rematch it would be for Silva... In my "perfect scenario" Silva would reclaim his belt and retire.. Leaving Weidman the interim champ. Otherwise the silva V Weidman thing will go on and on until someone other that silva destroys Weidman.. Which I just don't see happening.

I laughed out loud , over his crazy showboating ,, then clunk !

The sport still favours ju jitsu a little too much , they should have head butting allowed, and make cage grabbing legal .

^ I agree that if its the "UFC" all moves should be allowed.. (Aside from biting and nut shots of course). Silva's performance mad me cringe the entire time. Even if he hasn't got knocked out I still would have been sickened by his performance. Not the way a professional athlete should behave at all. Saying that Anderson has held a belt for near a decade and I understand he is burned out. As most fans I felt cheated when Silva's show boating got h

Silva just didn't take the fight seriously- he clowned around and got knocked on his ass- if he comes back with a better attitude I'd give him a good chance, but I hope to never see that kind of crap in a professional title fight ever again.

I was most surprised that Silva kept up his act. Every time he tried it he was getting whacked. He should have been dead serious after getting smacked around in the 1st. You have to think the man had some serious problems going on upstairs. The crown obviously weighed heavy on his head.

    Not so sure about that...
Maybe not headbutting , though those legal elbows can be nasty anyway.
But cage or fence grabbing whatever its called , absolutely -
the attacker uses the cage to pen the other guy in and restrict his mobility ,
why not let the defender grab it and pull himself back up to his feet .?

Also they should have something in the middle of the ring , maybe a lamppost or (slightly) padded postbox ,this could be used to slam the other guy against , or hide behind etc, ie make it more like a real street fight.

Still cannot complain, it's better than a few years ago , when they all wore faggy speedo underpants instead of proper shorts.

Oh, another thing that annoys me is all that pre-match hugging between the the fighter and his team, must be part of the TV contract , but still ....
men hugging ,,,, give it a rest.

last gripe , Bruce buffer shouting
    WE ARE LIVE
please ,,,, is that the best he can come up with ?
it's nothing like '' lets get ready to rumble ...''

yes i know hit fast forward , well I always go too far and see the fight result .

yes but it was classic fun , when he got slightly caught and decided to show how little it hurt, by doing Muhamod Ali pretend rubber legs .
