    Froch v Kessler

The highly anticipated re-match between Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler will take place at the O2 Arena on May 25.

Promoters Matchroom had been hoping to secure an outdoor venue for the super-middleweight unification fight but there were no suitable stadia available.

It means the pair will clash in the 20,000-capacity arena just over three years since their memorable first meeting which Kessler won via unanimous decision in Herning, Denmark.

Froch has since regained - and lost - the WBC title Kessler took from him that night, and is currently the IBF champion, while the Dane has overcome career-threatening injuries to pick up the WBA strap.

"I think it's the biggest feather in my cap as a promoter, bringing a fight like this to the UK," promoter Eddie Hearn said. "I'm proud to have done it and I'm delighted for Carl, because he deserves it.

"He can now avenge that loss and leave a real legacy for British boxing because I believe he's one of the all-time greats and a win against Kessler will put him right up there."

Defeat is unlikely to taint the career of either man, while victory could set up a re-match with Andre Ward, to whom both have lost.

They would both lose again to Ward; they just can't catch him...

Both are excellent fighters, it could go either way. I wouldn't be surprised if the Dane won it by a couple of rounds, or even a draw.

Yep, Andre Ward is in a class of his own around this weight. Still, this fight should be a fucking beaut if it's only half as good as their first meeting.
I'll go with Froch for this one, he has been very active against good opposition lately. He has had the toughest schedule of any active fighter recently, and has blown out everyone since being schooled by Ward. One to watch for sure.

I've got tickets for this one and it is set up to be another cracker!! Fancy Froch to get a late stoppage or win by 3 or 4 rounds on points. Groves and Bellew both fighting on the undercard as well.

As has been said though Ward is a class above the pair of them.

Yeah not a fan of those tribal tattoos.

I've got Froch, he's a better fighter now than first time around and Kessler has had a few injuries he'll be slower etc... Should be a hell of a fight though.

The judge that scored the fight 118-110 was a moron.

A cracking fight and an electric atmosphere.

Froch was the clear winner but as above the judge who scored it 118-110 must have watched a different fight as it was a lot, lot closer.

Froch-Kessler III in Vegas would be ideal now.
