I hope Ben Foden can flatten the trajectory of his passes and deliver the ball more quickly, instead of the usual two steps he takes, allowing defences to move up.
No big deal against the Scots, but it will make a big difference against France or Wales.
I honestly don't get that. 'Journeyman-like' is probably the kindest description I can think.C Robshaw (Harlequins, capt)
I think the Scots could spring a surprise here.
not a sevens fan though may watch semis/finals if time allows

Cheers Bob and apologies. I did mean Youngs. Not Tom his little brother.Originally Posted by Marmite the Dog

Wales'selection frightens me, I bet none of you have ever heard of the kid picked at second row following the unavailability of Alun-Wyn, BBBD, Charteris and Ryan Jones. Ryan Jones was also needed to cover 6 with the unavailability of Lydiate and JT (twice) so we've gone with Shingler who is really a 7. Biggar at fly half.... well he's got his chance, better bet than that Toby Flood (555) anyway who is on the bench......
^ they selected the angry Bristolian at Lock then? (Olly Kohn, )
no I see not and no, never heard of Coombs.
Why is it Wales are always having such major injury woes??
The results speakth for themselves... th.
Well, yes. Thank you for this refreshingly in-depth discussion.
The facts speak for themselves, you don't need me to tell you.
Where's pseudolus? Maybe I can chat about rugby with him.
Jim Telfer explains why Wales gets more injuries than other teams.
"the Welsh are lazy"
Poor conditioning work which is a good tool to prevent injury
That's the part I don't get though, what about all that sub-zero treatment stuff etc. they were doing before the World Cup. I'm not sure of the theory behind it all but apparently it has some scientific basis or other. I think they even had a special chamber built for it at their training facility or something?Originally Posted by pseudolus
Anyways it may be entirely apocryphal but it just seems to me that Wales are forever contending with big injury counts.
well that is bullshit..... at the World Cup everyone was saying how wales were the fittest team with all this training they were doing in Poland.
Telfer said the English were arrogant as well, doubtless you don't believe him this time pseudoloser?
Jim was a master at winding people up in his day, sadly he is out of touch these days.
