I think he has his ( alleged ) racist offence hearing coming up shortly , so he looks to be jumping before being pushed . Personally never liked the smarmy git .

Seems he has problems making the Chelsea first team let alone the national squad.

As England captain, he's hardly the inspirational Bobby Moore type, is he? Fecking chav probably resents having to spend time away from Stamford Br, giving rich punters unofficial tours around the dressing rooms for bags of cash..

Although, if he's not on the plane or coach for subsequent England campaigns, the rest of the team will probably play like shit. - Worrying that he's probably shagging their WAG's back at home..

We seem to have missed the burning issue here: who will step up to be our main racist on the team?

Don't like Terry and I do not condone what he said or did not say. He is rapidly coming to the end of his career.

Trash talk, get under the skin of the other player, has been apart of the game since, well a long time. Zidane in his last game, the world cup final, allowed comments about his mother and sister to get to him and got sent off. So what Terry said was vile and disgusting, but is it any worse than what happens all the time?

Clean the game up, but all of it.

England has won fcuk all of consequence with any of the overpaid, over indulged faggots in the team period since 1966
Just because he called someone who is a kunt and is black a black kunt doesn't make him a bad man.
I used to work with a black guy who was an out and out ignorant, intolerant wanker. He blamed the way people behaved towards him down to his colour. it wasn't ! he was just an arrogant kunt who happened to be black !
Treat everyone as a complete and utter idiot and you can only ever be pleasantly surprised !

Terry can always team up with David Beckham and do a double header.

We must remember this is an uneducated man who has made vast amounts of money, kicking a ball around a field. Also kicking more talented players around a field as well.

So exactly why do we expect him to act like a UN ambassador? On the scale of Morons he rates slightly above Joey Barton,,,, maybe around a Roy Keane level? His world was about winning games not about being nice or playing fair. He was very good at his job. He probably still thinks that he did nothing wrong and that the world id unfair. When Terry is a side line no doubt the next multi millionaire moron will step up and fill his boots. One last thought the only reason people like Terry are as rich as they are and as arrogant as they are, is because we make them so.

I don't believe Terry is racist and I don't believe the FA can prove that he is. Would he be in front this inquiry if he had called Robbie Savage a faggot, or called Joleon Lescott and ugly fucker. Sledging is and always has been part of the game. The fact that Terry is successful chav thug is not yet a criminal or civil offence in itself.
Anton Ferdinand is a petty childish brat who needs to grow a pair and get on with his limited ability career.
There are far more important issues in life than this. The media and the FA are both incompetent and vindictive with little justification for either of them.
The handshake job is a joke. It's a competitive game and they can shake hands over an orange juice after the match.

I tend to agree with you chassamui on this incident. Maybe they are all trying to make the game clean so that the investors are happy? Still think ROy Keane deliberate breaking the leg incident was far more serious than this.

The FA have just made themselves look like childish spiteful tossers on a witch hunt.
No doubt he'll be found guilty today.

BBC Sport - John Terry banned and fined by FA over Anton Ferdinand incident

Chelsea captain John Terry has been banned for four matches and fined 220,000 following an incident involving QPR defender Anton Ferdinand.
The Football Association have found centre-back Terry, 31, guilty of a charge of misconduct.
In July, Terry was cleared in court of racially abusing Ferdinand.
Just hours before the hearing began, Terry, 31, retired from international duty, claiming the FA hearing had made his position with England "untenable".
    More to follow.

John Terry verdict: FA find Chelsea captain guilty over racism charge

    • Terry banned for four games, fined 220,000
    • Player's representatives considering an appeal

John Terry is considering an appeal after the FA's disciplinary hearing found him guilty of "directing abusive language with racial connotations" at QPR's Anton Ferdinand last October.
The independent regulatory commission delivered its verdict on Thursday after a four-day hearing, ruling that Terry must serve a four-game ban and pay a fine of 220,000.
Terry, who was cleared of a racially aggravated public order offence at Westminster magistrates' court in July over the same incident, categorically denied the FA charge, and has the right to appeal the ruling within 14 days.
An FA statement said: "The penalty is suspended until after the outcome of any appeal, or the time for appealing expires, or should Mr Terry decide not to appeal."
A statement issued by Terry's management company said: "Mr Terry is disappointed that the FA Regulatory Commission has reached a different conclusion to the clear not guilty verdict of a court of law.
"He has asked for the detailed written reasons of the decision and will consider them carefully before deciding whether to lodge an appeal."

    ^ Pair of dozy twats.

I think any player over 30 with a couple of years to the next world cup should consider international retirement. In the case of players like Giggs and Scholes, it has given them at least one extra year or more playing the game they love and earning good money.
If you play a hundred times for your country and end up having to retire early, there will be no mention of all those international caps on your bank balance.

Not judging by his performance the other night he isn't. There's a big void there now and it showed. Even Hart flapped. I think Cahill's a better bet.

Not that you're biased of course No mention I see of England's worst defender on the night (Cashley) who should, on form, be replaced immediately by Baines....or maybe you would personally prefer Bertrand.
