![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Super Rugby 2012 You'll probably have noticed that I never really comment too much on Super Rugby, the reason being.... I never get to see it. Well, that's going to change this year with SETANTA in the house, I shall be enjoying it along with the rest of the deadbeats who are able to spend Friday and Sat'day arvo in the boozer..... So, I'll nail my colours to the mast, one of my best Keewee friends is from Willingt'n and I have always supported him in that choice, so I am a Hurricane. I hate the Australian teams with a passion and have a good respect for the SA teams who frankly I'd rather be cheering based on what I have learned ssince choosing Wellington in the S12 era. I see Lachie Turner is gooooooooooooone for the season having torn his hammy off the bone.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah, really great having Setanta channel on True, going to be able to see all the rugby now without having to go and sit in a bar in Bangkok. Sharks supporter as always. Could be a transition year with the loss of some senior players, however now players like Lambie & Bismark will be first choice and have a chance to shine. Bring it on. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Crusaders supporter here. Damn, are they loaded with talent, or what? 1. Wyatt Crockett 2. Corey Flynn 3. Owen Franks 4. Tom Donnelly 5. Sam Whitelock 6. George Whitelock 7. Matt Todd (until Richie McCaw gets fit from his recent foot surgery) 8. Keiran Read 9. Andy Ellis 10. Dan Carter 11. Zac Guildford (or Patrick Osbourne) 12. Ryan Crotty 13. Robbie Fruean 14. Sean Maitland 15. Israel Dagg Now, how good is that first XV? Definitely should be the favourites going into the 2012 season.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A pig Islander is actually a sheep shagging South Islander. If you are not from there, then don't worry...you must have snuck in with the humans... Anyway, I digress. Bobby, The Hurricanes don't have a snowballs chance.Too young. Crusaders look f'king strong.Wankers! Highlanders might do ok, but that's because they have a good North Island Coach. Chiefs..they will be shite again. The Mighty Blues, well they look ok on paper.Pity about the coach. If they do any good, it will be because of the senior players and that's only if they pull finger.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ^You might be correct, not that I really care about the inward looking, sheep molesting , cousin marrying, bed wetters from the South Island. I wave my private parts at their so called wimmin folk! Now, the Crusaders are without the mighty Brad Thorn. He will be missed.Remember the Blues beat them early on last year. I just hate them with a passion.Mainly due to some of the crowd etc in past games.I shouldn't worry though...'cause the Crusaders are not a Canterbury Team....it just seems that way. |

I've been a long-suffering Canes fan forever. I'd like to advise you to choose a different team. Even with a team half full of ABs they've always underperformed. Now with a new coach that caused half the team to piss off to other provinces you'll have to get used to seeing even worse results for a few years. No Nonu No Weepu No Hore No Cruden No hope.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Nope... And yes LC it is free. For the last five years I've lived in the same apartment without and account with true. After Setanta came on we asked my landlord, to set up true and he did. He hen said that he would pay for it. My landlord is soooooo fuckin' rich (as in Shinawatra rich) that he probably doesn't ever even look at the account that I pay rent into!!! |

The opening day match of Blues v Crusaders...Apparently Pat Lam will play Weepu at first-five with Alby Matthewson at scrumhalf. I don't know what sort of shape Piri is in - he does tend to pack on the weight rather quickly and easily. He has the ability to read the field very fast and react appropriately, but his fitness will be a concern for the Blues. It will be interesting to see how Ma'a Nonu does wearing a Blues jersey. The Crusaders definitely have the advantage with their talented and experienced forwards. The only knock I'd have against them is that I'd like to see George Whitelock have a bit more aggro. Other than that, this is a world class pack. As far as the backs go, no glaring weaknesses that I can see. How can they go wrong with internationals such as Ellis, Carter, Guildford (OK, he runs like a retard, albeit a really, really fast retard), and Israel Dagg. Robbie Fruean ought to be a future All Black and Sean Maitland has supreme talent, but for some reason can't get the nod to pull on a black jersey. I reckon he'll head overseas soon for a big pay packet. My call for the opening night clash of New Zealand's titans of rugby? I'll say that the Crusaders will beat the Blues by a converted try and a penalty 20-10. | |
